Boobs (28-07-2014) (Odyssey 2 Game)

You need to help Boobs! Boobs is an alien on the planet Kerflunkydunk. Now, on Earth, Boobs might be a funny name, but on Kerflunkydunk, lots of aliens are named Boobs. It’s like Earth’s equivalent of “George.” But NASA heard that there might be boobs in space, so all the astronauts are eager to see boobs (all the men astronauts, that is), not realizing they’re not women’s boobs, but our little alien friend named Boobs. Your job as Boobs is to shoot down enemy rockets coming down the Van Doozy Corridor, the tunnel near Kerflunkydunk (enemy being Earth.) How many rockets can Boobs shoot down?

Super Giuseppe (R38) (Odyssey 2 Game)

Super Giuseppe by atari2600land is a Super Mario like game for they Odyssey 2. The game is still a work in progress and develops slowly.

Release notes:

I fixed the problem I was talking about in today’s blog entry. When this new version is played on real hardware, the ship sometimes blinks. I don’t know what is causing it. Well, anyway, at least it looks better than it did. Here’s the latest binary file.

PDRoms Coding Competition v4.01 (Odyssey 2 misc)

It’s reality again, here comes PDROMS CODING COMPETITION v4.01 – Retro Coding Fun for Console and Handhelds!

Coding on “closed” handhelds or consoles must not be a privilege; dozens of free development kits proof the opposite. The steadily growing “homebrew scene” produces unlicensed software for devices not meant to be open for everyone.

PDRoms has always been in the homebrew scene to support the creation of new homebrew software, support programmers and artists. To show our love to the homebrew scene once again, here comes the ninth PDRoms Coding Competition.

Here is the brief data:

Topic: Create a logic/puzzle game
Competition running time: Thursday, 02 April 2009 to Sunday, 31st May 2009
Deadline: Sunday, 31th May 2009 @ 23:59, in YOUR timezone!

PDRoms Coding Competition v4.01 – Pre-Announcement (Odyssey 2 misc)

From 1st April 2009 to 31st May 2009 PDRoms will be hosting another coding competition. This time we will only allow 8 BIT systems (as another sister site wants to go for newer mainstream systems and we don’t want to collide).

In particular the following systems are allowed (subject to change): Atari 2600, Coleco Vision, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Game Gear, IntelliVision, Master System, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Nintendo Entertainment System, Odyssey2.

The topic is decided, but you have to wait till 1st April 2009 for details.

We are currently seeking for judges and sponsors – please get in touch with us if you can help or want to supply goodies which we can give out as prizes.

Odyssey 2 Section is up! (Odyssey 2 misc)

Problem is fixed :) That was just a small problem and Pancid probably fixed it in less than 15 seconds :)

Today I created the Odyssey 2 section. I just found one freeware game for it called”Amok”. It has been coded by John D and it’s similar to Berzerk. If you know of any other 100% freeware or public domain games/demos for the Odyssey 2, please let me know about them! Thanks
