Jump N Blob (04-01-2011) (GP2x Game)

The island of Malis is in grave danger! The infamous Beast King and his army of monsters try to invade the peaceful homeland of the blobs, in order to reign the whole island. Hello everybody,

after a long long time, lots of work and hundreds of ruined cdrs, we are finally able to present to you the finished version of our very first game, the platformer “Jump n Blob”.

In addition to the release for Wiz, Caanoo, Gp2x and Dreamcast we are glad provide the soundtrack as well as the sourcecode.

Commander Genius (CGenius) v0.3.1.1 (GP2x Port misc)

Commander Genius aka CloneKeenPlus is an engine which interprets Commander Keen 1-4.

Release notes from Pickle:

Ive updated the all of the archives for the latest source code for cgenius.
One notable feature for this update is support for streaming the hqp ogg files, which are included (all except for gp2x too slow, but ogg support is compiled in if you have to have it)
Also added support for a the caanoo.
Also includes enhanced graphics replacements and also includes keen1 and keen4 sharware data.
Keen4 work has begun you can jump and run through levels and collect items so far.

It was about time to get v1.0 out, unfortunately a bit later than expected, but well… here we go! :)

Updated ports: GP2x, Wiz, Pandora, Amiga OS4, MorphOS, NetBSD
New initial ports: Caanoo, AROS

Other ports should be updated erm… well… soon :)

Changes:

– Several palette fixes for all tilesets
– Various other smaller cosmetic graphics fixes
– Four new ingame baddies
– The levels are now 40 pixels higher and “fullscreen” on 320×240 devices
– Modified trainer (hidden)
– Modified two levels in the last world to make them easier
– Fixed minor slipping bug when a bridge is crumbling and Giana stands stil
– Added configuration menu:
* Music volume control
* SFX volume control
* Key configuration (where keyboard available)
* Joypad/Joystick configuration (where external joypad/joystick available)

GMU Music Player v0.7.2 (GP2x Application)

Gmu is a music player for the Wiz. Gmu supports Ogg Vorbis, MP3, Musepack, FLAC and various module formats (such as s3m, stm, it, etc.). It also includes a playlist and a file browser.

Changes:

* Speex decoder plugin for playing .spx files
* Autoscroll feature: Gmu can automatically scroll the playlist view to the currently played track
* Command line tool for controling Gmu (can also work over the network)
* Pandora: Gmu window can be closed by clicking the close button
* Pandora: Fullscreen option added (press F to toggle fullscreen)
* Support for the Zipit Z2 platform
* Bugfix: Time display was only partly visible when playtime/length was above 99:99
* Bugfix: The display backlight power-off timer was not being disabled when switching to another virtual terminal (Ben Nanonote/Zipit Z2)
* Simplified process of adding new platforms/devices
* Some other changes and bugfixes I forgot to mention
