The Sega Game Gear is an 8-bit handheld video game console released by Sega in 1990. Based on Master System hardware, it is powered by a 3.58 MHz Zilog Z80 CPU with 8 KB RAM and 16 KB VRAM, featuring a 3.2-inch backlit color STN LCD display outputting 160 x 144 resolution from a 4,096-color palette alongside a 4-channel SN76489 sound chip.
