Gianas Return WIP (PSP Game misc)

News from the Giana’s Return team and their attempt to port their own game over to the Playstation Portable.

Quote:

Our coder made quite a progress for the PSP version.

Earlier this day he had to fight with memory issues, but he managed to sort out those during the day. Now it’s quite late and we DO HAVE a working PSP version, but it has graphics glitches, minor transparency issues and is a bit slow. Also the controls seem too sensitive for an analogue stick and completly wrong for digital cross usage.

We keep you guys updated!
(at least for the next few days before our organizer and “blog udpater” rushes out for a longtime vacation).

Wiz N Size (Wiz misc)

Guyfawkes was wondering how big the Wiz would be in size compared to other handhelds so with the help of Size Easy, he entered some handheld sizes to see how big the Wiz is.

You can view the page linked below. The Wiz (Violet) is slightly bigger than a GBA Micro (Blue) and slightly smaller than a DS Lite (Green).

Thanks to http://www.emuholic.com for this interesting comparison!

Pong Extreme v0.1 (NDS Game)

Pong for Nintendo DS by Renรƒยฉ C. Kiesler.

Release notes:

Well… My first PAlib project is what I came here for. A Pong for Nintendo DS, supporting the Taito Paddle Controller (but also the D-Pad and shoulder buttons, no worries).

Version 0.1 is rather simple, has only one player support and an easy to beat CPU player.

What makes PONG extreme special, is the vague idea of “Synesthasia”. The game music changes according to your and to the CPUs game performance. Not really polished yet, but it’s my first project anyway. I’m open for suggestions and will likely do a follow-up version.
