To play this game, you need to focus on the following important points:

• Fire (O) with regular weapon with X, EX equipment.
• To activate the shield you need to touch an enemy’s projectile.
• You can collect enemy projectiles while the shield is up to power up, chain kill enemies to extend shield duration. Once the shield runs out you are in danger.
• As long as the shield is active the multiplier goes up, enabling higher scores and more damage output .
• Every time you defeat the boss enemies will become stronger and new stage layouts and powerful enemies are introduced. ​

Gravity Well by Xietanu is an action game made for the PICO-1K Jam 2022.

The game features an infinite gravity tunnel, where you move around horizontally using ‘arrow’ keys to avoid oncoming blocks. Falling close to obstacles increases your heartrate as indicated by amplitude of the the pulse in the bottom right. As you fall, you’ll get faster and obstacles will get more frequent. Use ‘dodge’ (Z) to hastily move out of the way (recharges after use) and use ‘dive’ (X) to accelerate faster down for more points and more danger. ​

1k Space Doors by SkyBerron is an arcade shooter made for PICO-1K Jam 2022.

The goal of the game is quite simple. You move your spaceship in a vast, abstract space. Avoid all the oncoming rocks and doors that would smash you in a second. It is an endless space, so score as high as possible.

Juggle Cat by Altrix Studios is an arcade game made for the PICO-1K Jam.

It is a simple juggling game where you move the juggle cat with ‘arrow’ keys and constantly bounce the white balls to keep them in the air, while avoiding the red bombs. Watch out for your lives, you’re only given five chances. The developer himself has challenged the players, that whether you can beat his high score of 46 or not? ​

You play the game as a rider, driving your way down the Cyber Highway 9. Avoid the traffic and the sides, move smoothly but smartly, it’s either you or your opponents!​

Escape Pod by Brian Vaughn is a space action game made with PICO-8 and is an entry for 2022 PICO-1k Jam. This game is heavily inspired by Shaun Inman and his game “Flip’s Escape”.

Your home planet just exploded, but you and your family were lucky to get on an escape pod and survived the blast. The shockwave is right on you: Avoid the oncoming meteors, while collecting all the energy crystals to power your shields and boosters. Your ship moves automatically and high scores resets with reboot. Collecting an orbiting blue crystal will power up your shields. Better be careful, and don’t slow down, as the shockwave will get closer!

Snakedventure by BlueTieCasual is a short puzzle maze game developed with PICO-8.

The goal of the game is not so much different from the rest of the snake games, you move around in the different levels, collecting fruits and completing quests. You grow long in each passing level so better be careful when you control the snake, it gets difficult to manage him with his long tail. The upper bar shows how many lives you have left and if you get stuck, you can use the ‘undo’ feature.​

Poker Squares by Will is a retro-solitaire card game made for PICO-1K Jam 2022.

As the developer says, to play the game, you need to follow the following rules:

• Cards are placed one at a time and can no longer be moved once placed.
