Overclocker (Dingoo Application)

A600 released an overclocking application for the Dingoo. The files need to be selected and run through the 3D Game menu and when you click and run it does not look as if anything has changed. Once you have clicked on the preferred speed, cancel out of 3D game and goto Interesting game and you should start to see a difference. There are various speeds 200/336/370/400/430.

CPS2 and Neogeo emulation seem to get a boost this way according to Gadgetmiser.

Frodo v9 (RC2) (C64 emu for Wii)

Frodo is a Commodore 64 emulator written by Christian Bauer ( http://frodo.cebix.net ). It was ported to the Wii by Simon Kagstrom and does not share any code with FrodoWii.

Put .t64 or .d64 files in /apps/frodo/images on your SD card. The in-game menu allows you to insert disks/tapes, load them and configure the display, joystick ports etc. Saves will be stored on the SD card and the preferences are stored persistently. Wiimote 1 is by default the joystick in port 1 and wiimote 2 the joystick in port 2, but you can swap this.

Wii-Tac-Toe v0.6 WIP (Wii Game)

Wii-Tac-Toe is a Tic-Tac-Toe game for the Nintendo Wii. It was programmed in C++ using devkitPro along with GRRLIB.

The game can be played alone vs the CPU or with a friend using one Wii Remote controller. The game AI does not always do the same moves, so the fun never stop.

To win the game, you have to place three marks (O or X) in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row. If the grid is filled completely and no one has won, well, it’s a tie game. Start over and try to beat your opponent.

Upcomming changes:

New cursors for HOME menu, player 2 cursor is disable
Wii Remote two could use the HOME button
Opacity of the cursor changes while waiting for AI to play

Wii Linux Kernel v2.6.29 (Wii OS)

The Wii Linux Team have released a new version of the Kernel for Wii Linux based distributions. It now features interactivity with the AVE-RVL audio/video encoder and also allows you to return to the Homebrew Channel.

Release notes:

We are back (non morituri) with a new kernel based on the recently published version 2.6.29. The new release includes some interesting features, specially on the video side: support for AVE-RVL (the audio/video encoder in the Nintendo Wii), enhanced video mode autodetection and forcing, honoring of video mode timings (fbset and friends will work now), default boot video mode with overscan compensation (for those using tellys). Oh, and don’t miss the new quick reboot into “The Homebrew Channel” feature. Happy hacking!

WiiHandy SDL v0.3 (Atari Lynx emu for Wii)

raz0red has released a new version of his Atari Lynx emulator for the Nintendo Wii.

Changes:

– Ability to enable/disable vertical sync (NTSC/PAL60 only)
– Ability to set the gamma level of the display
– Added option to load Lynx boot ROM from the root directory
– Gamecube controller support
– Fixed a couple of buffer overflow issues causing periodic crashes
– Refactor of the source code

QuirkDS (29-03-2009) (NDS Game)

maRk2512’s updated his game QuirkDS. It’s a remake of the old GameBoy game “Kwirk, A-mazing tater”.

Changes:

– Removed styluscontrol.
– Graphic resized from 8×8 to 16×16 pixel per block.
– Mapscrolling added.
– Moving the ‘big blocks’ work’s not perfect. So it’s still disabled in this version.

Smash My PSP v3.0 (PSP misc)

Smash My PSP! is a program in which you use different weapons and tools to destroy and “decorate” your PSP’s main menu.

Changes:

-added loading screen
-added multi color gun
-added chainsaw
-added ability to scroll faster through weapons with left and right
-added phaser gun
-version number on title screen
-added 3 more “cracks” for the hammer
-O now exits out of menu’s
-when you change the background it also resets
-GIF’s available in custom backgrounds
-code is now readible and easy to modify
