Bjimba has ported DosBox to the GP2x. Release notes:I looked into various options: porting one of its clones, running it under the already-ported Bochs emulator, rewriting from scratch... I finally had some success by porting DosBox to the GP2X platform. It's similar to Bochs in that it is a software emulation of the Intel CPU, but it also directly provides the DOS infrastructure, and is designed primarily for DOS games.Well, it works well enough for me to play BlockOut, so I'm making what I've done so far available for download here. It's definitely for people who like to fiddle, since you really have to rewrite obscure text configuration files for every game you want to play, and you have to creatively map the GP2X buttons to enough keys to make the game playable.http://bjimba.blogspot.com/2006/02/dosbox-for-gp2x.html Read more about DosBox v1.0 (DOS emu for GP2x)

Image provided by: MadelmanBubble Train as the name suggests is a train of bubbles travelling along a track where the last carriage is the driving force instead of the front one. The bubbles come streaming along the track trying to reach the end of the line. You are equipped with a bubble firing cannon, where you fire bubbles into the trains. When there are 3 or more carriages of the same colour they explode and the train shrinks. So you must blow up all of the carriages in all of the trains before any train reaches the end of its track.http://elligre.tk/madelman/index.php/gp2x/games/ Read more about Bubbletrain v0.1 (GP2x Game Port)

Release notes:I am working on an adaption of the obscure 1977 Kee/Atari game Super Bug. Not a direct port - in the original game you just drove until time ran out. I plan to add some features, like powerups, obstacles and maybe a multiplayer option.Right now I am using the car sprite from Indy 500. This will be replaced by a VW bug sprite eventually.Right now this a playable demo. A little buggy but it works mostly. If you try it, I recommend messing with the console switches:Left difficulty: A=ice, B=asphaltRight difficulty: A=fast car, B=slow carCOLOR/BW: BW=driving controller, COLOR=joystickI recommend both switches on 'A' then try to keep the car on the road! There will be several tracks in the game. Also, the way I set it up, the track is 128x128 graphic saved as a monochrome .bmp file, then I manually stripped off the headers. Eventually I might include a program to allow you to insert your own tracks into the binary.http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83612 Read more about Super Bug (15-02-2006) (A2600 Game)
