ZodTTD, master porter and hobby homebrewer, has released his port of Quake to the iPhone! It will require you to use an iPhone or iPod with latest firmware (v2).
Release notes:
Heya everyone! ZodTTD here.
As you can tell the site was having various connectivity and usage issues. Everything should be working fine now. If it’s not, use the contact form in the top menu to reach me.
The reason for the downtime was largely due to massive influx of quake4iphone downloads. Within a matter of a few hours, over 7000 downloads were completed. The number continues to rise way up today now that the ZodTTD.com webserver is under control!
So yes that’s right, I have released quake4iphone publicly for iPhone and iPod Touch firmware 2.0 users via the built-in ZodTTD Cydia repo.
quake4iphone, a Quake 1 port, includes the shareware 2 level pack. You may add your retail pak files to enable retail levels. The screen mapped virtual keys CTRL, SHIFT, and ALT can be binded in the config.conf file.
Some things on the todo list:
– Add tesu’s controller skin.
– Add a key to go back from the menu.
– Make sure saved games work.
– Make sure internet multiplayer works.
– Small tweaks where needed.Let me know what you think, be sure to leave feedback / comments!
textReader for iPhone OS2 has reached a final stage.
This application allows you to read large Text (.txt,.text), eReader/Peanut Press (.pdb), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Palm Doc (.pdb), Mobipocket (.pdb,.prc,.mobi), Plucker (.pdb), HTML (.htm,.html), CHM (.chm), and Fiction Book (.fb2) files quickly and efficiently on the iPhone/Touch. This application doesn’t have the fancy formatting of ruBooks or Books.app, but it supports many formats and can quickly load and display large text files that currently cause problems with some UI Text View/Web View based apps. It also gives you some options to reformat/reflow text so that it might be more readable on the iPhone’s smaller screen. If you want to load books quickly and read text, this may be the app for you.
Homebrew Manager allows to “manage” your homebrews via a Windows program.

The Firmware Downloader is a application to download Firmwares (OFW & CFW) directly onto the PSP. It will copy the OFW to ms0:/*versionnumber*.PBP or ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/*versionnumber*.PBP or ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP, whatever you prefer.
The installation is quite simple, copy the content of the MS_ROOT folder to your memorystick and start the “Firmware Downloader” in your Game -> Memorystick menu.
Now you can connect to your WLAN Network and check for updates of the app. Then you can choose what kind of firmware (ofw or cfw) you want to download and which version. Press X to search for the firmware you have selected. If it’s avaible the download will start and when it’s complete the app will extract and copy all files to the right directory.
Use it at your own risk!
