Orkie still dives into GP2x development, which is a great thing. He recently contacted us to let us know about Open2x Bootloader. It’s an alternative bootloader for GP2X. Requires Orcus and DevkitARM to compile. ‘make’ will generate a gp2xboot.img file which can be flashed with the GPH u-boot. The bootloader has a simple command line interface accessible via UART – type ‘help’ to see the list of commands
The first release related to Open2x in 11 years (the Linux firmware hasn’t really changed).

PicoDrive is a Megadrive / Genesis / Sega CD / Mega CD / 32X / SMS emulator.
Release notes by notaz:
This should run on GP2X/Wiz/Caanoo, but I’ve only tested this on GP2X and Caanoo. The main change is that SegaCD compatibility issues should be resolved now. 32X compatibility has been improved too, but it’ll be too slow on GPH consoles. I don’t know if/when I can optimize 32X, although it should be possible to improve it still.
From what I see there is not much action on these boards any more, I guess everyone moved on to one of the gazillion Android devices that are available these days.. If anyone still uses this on their GPH consoles (especially on good old GP2X), it would be nice if you posted here so that I know if it’s worth building future PD releases for GPH consoles or not.
Chalcogens is a demo for Gamepark’s GP2x by Quebarium, Desire & TRSI. Released at Recursion 2012, it ranked first in the combined demo competition. A well deserved place!
Quebarium is penetrating the GP2x with another demo, named 1897. It’s their first dual CPU demo on GP2X. The second CPU is mainly used to compute an old cathode ray tube image (distortion + color blending).

MazezaM is an addictive puzzle game created by Malcolm Tyrrell on the Spectrum in 2002. Thanks to the hard work of Kian Vincent this game is now available for GP2x. Escape from each of the 39 levels by moving the connected blocks. You are only allowed to push them, never pull.
