The Sega 32X is an add-on peripheral for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive released by Sega in 1994. Powered by dual 32-bit Hitachi SH-2 RISC processors running at 23 MHz, 256 KB of RAM, and 256 KB of VRAM, it expands the console’s palette to 32,768 colors and enables hardware-accelerated 3D polygon graphics alongside digital stereo sound. It plugs directly into the host system’s cartridge slot, using its own line of ROM cartridges while requiring a separate power supply and passthrough cable.

Based off of the BEX library created by Joseph Norman, SecondBASIC brings a familiarity to those who are familiar with BEX while adding some additional commands and built in tools to help aid in the development of your projects. Eight Queens by Sebastian Mihai is an implementation of the Eight Queens Problem on Sega's unfortunate add-on to the Genesis, the 32x. Towards the end of the Genesis era, Sega's plan was for the 32x to tide Genesis players over, until the release of the next-gen system, the Sega Saturn.
