PicoDrive is a Megadrive / Genesis / Sega CD / Mega CD / 32X / SMS emulator.
Release notes by notaz:
This should run on GP2X/Wiz/Caanoo, but I’ve only tested this on GP2X and Caanoo. The main change is that SegaCD compatibility issues should be resolved now. 32X compatibility has been improved too, but it’ll be too slow on GPH consoles. I don’t know if/when I can optimize 32X, although it should be possible to improve it still.
From what I see there is not much action on these boards any more, I guess everyone moved on to one of the gazillion Android devices that are available these days.. If anyone still uses this on their GPH consoles (especially on good old GP2X), it would be nice if you posted here so that I know if it’s worth building future PD releases for GPH consoles or not.
Gmu is an open source music player. Gmu supports Ogg Vorbis, MP3, Musepack, FLAC and various module formats (such as s3m, stm, it, etc.). It also includes a playlist and a file browser.
Changes:
* Volume control in gmuc Gmu ncurses interface
*Flush input buffer in gmuc when handling scrolling to allow for more precise scrolling on slower devices
* New Gmu command line option -l: Allows to specify a playlist file to load on start
* Minor update to the default theme with the large font (playback time was a little off-screen on small displays)
* README.txt update (adding some more information about gmuc)
* BUILD.txt update (adding some information about the various Makefile targets)
* Configuring gmuhttp to listen on external interfaces should work reliably now
Locomalito‘s game L’Abbaye des Morts ported to Caanoo by Farox! The gameplay is directly inspired by Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy.
Release notes:
Just updated the archive with a new version for Caanoo (hope to see updated soon). In this version I have fixed a bug that allowed to jump when you are crouched. Now I have added B for jump so now you can use X or B to jump.
Trying to gain some more speed I have tested to init SDL with a 22050 sampling rate (to gain some cpu cycle) but with this the sound effect didn’t sound good (to be honest the only jump.ogg sound is playing strange) but for this version I have reverted to 44100Khz so we colud gain some little speed but maybe in a next version.
Anyway the speed is really improved from the last revision.
