– Memory monitoring engine to find your own cheat code !
– Improve file requester with virtual keyboard to choose sequentially rom files beginning with a given letter

Mushroom Roulette v1.2 (Beta) (Wiz Game)

James Fletcher released a new beta of his Mushroom collecting game!

Release notes:

I have added two new well mini-games and a new gameplay element “hats”.

Here’s the lowdown on hats:
There are six hats and each hat gives you a temporary score bonus, if your are hit by a butterfly while wearing one the hat protects you, you loose your hat and the hat’s temporary score bonus but nothing else. If you are wearing a hat and pickup another hat, the score bonus from the first hat will become permanent and you will only loose the score of the new hat when a butterfly hits you.

Hat’s randomly appear like wells while you are playing the game.

I have also added a churning list of minor improvements! The windows build is avalible and the GP2X / WIZ build will be comming later today.

Let me know what you think! 🙂

Brikx (Alpha) (Wiz Game)

glezmen ported his old game Brikx to the Wiz. It is still in alpha phase, but playable. There are currently 22 levels.

Gameplay:

– The goal is to remove all the stones by moving them in various ways. If at least two tiles with the same color touches each other (they are adjacent), they will disappear.
– You can move any tile by moving the cursor onto it using the DPad, and pressing L or R shoulder button to move it left/right
– In some levels you can use special modes, like wall building, swapping tiles, etc. These modes are listed on the right. You can change mode by moving the mode-cursor with the A/B/X/Y buttons, and activate a mode by pressing SELECT. Using a mode other than normal move reduces your score! And the levels can limit which modes you can use (with Easy difficulty only your score is the limit)
– Your time is limited, if it’s over, the level is automatically restarted if you have enough points to use Restart (the timeout system will be changed, most probably there will be no timeout, only the bonus scores will decrease if you spend more time with finishing a level)
– You can get a short but useful help by clicking (tapping) on the question mark on game screen or choosing Help from the main menu

Powder (Build 111) (Wiz Game Port)

POWDER is a roguelike game, which is not a port of an existing roguelike. It is built around replayability and long term ergonomics, not short term learning. Author of this piece of software is Jeff Lait.

Hopez brought the latest 111 build over to the GP2x Wiz!

Thanks to http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=240107 for the news!

Wiz Cradle (Wiz misc)

andY had some time on his hands during weekend so he made the presumably first cradle for the Wiz.

Everything is still very “beta” but the basic functions such as USB HOST / HUB and connect the serial (with integrated
MAX3232 converter) is in a “beta release” already successfully possible.

An old, broken F100/F200 Cradle served as base.

And here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YV9Nlx1wcPw
