DS Bill (NDS Game)

thedopefish´has ported xBill ( http://xbill.org/ ) to the DS.

Ever get the feeling that nothing is going right? You’re a sysadmin, and someone’s trying to destroy your computers. The little people running around the screen are trying to infect your computers with Wingdows [TM], a virus cleverly designed to resemble a popular operating system. Additionally, some computers are connected with network cables. When one computer on a network becomes infected, a spark will be sent down the cable, and will infect the computer on the other end when it reaches there.

anySIM v1.3 (iPhone Application)

anySIM allows you to unlock your iPhone for “any SIM”.

Release notes:

This is Version 1.3 Of anySIM.
This version unlocks baseband 4.03_13_g
It’s only for bootblock 3.9 don’t use on 4.6
To use it, upgrade the baseband then
put the iPhone in airplane mode and run it !
It works also in JB 113 OS…

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Thanks to http://www.modmyifone.com for the news.

DTMF Dial v2 (PSP Application)

Here is DTMF Dial V2, with phone book and editor.

Other release notes:

Some elements may remind you a little of X-Flash. A similar name editor has been added. The phonebook file is compatible with DTMF Dial V1, so you can copy the file over and just add the names.

Nobody has posted any skins, so I decided to focus on writing in functionality. If you are a graphic artist interested in making a skin, download the template from the first release thread.

If you like this, or my other applications, please consider a donation. I’m not looking for money, but low capacity Memory Sticks to aid in programming.

Ports Of Call WIP (NDS Game)

The remake of “Ports Of Call” for the Nintendo DS is not dead, in fact there are some work in progress news, which were posted end of January 2008.

Quote:

Ahoy! Sailors!

A new update again.

Here’s a screenshot of one of the 28 harbour in Ports of Call DS. This is the harbour of New York and the ship is ready to leave.

The ship is controled with the stylus just as everything else in the game. You have the manouver the ship out of the harbour without hitting anything and within the time limit.

Now i am working on the last few events in the game and after that i can add sounds to it.

MIDI File Parser (01-02-2008) (NDS Application)

load*,8,1 tried to write a MIDI File Parser for Nintendo DS.

Release notes:

For OpenTTD I’ve been trying to put together a midi player for the Nintendo DS. Unfortunately I’m completely lacking any sound programming experience. Hence my plan was to modify 0xtob’s PulseDS to play midi files.

I do have it running now, but the music it produces is very disappointing. And further improving it is too much work for me because I’d rather concentrate on the OpenTTD port some more.

I hope someone with PSG or sound experience will pick this up and improve the quality. Or to encourage someone to make a arm7 midi player on their own, because quite a few game ports could use one.

Current status:
– the sample binary plays a crippled version of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony
– most midi events are parsed correctly and being sent to the arm7
– a few events (e.g. time signature) are not being interpreted
– the timing seems to be a little off. I’m not sure why though
– the arm7 side needs much work. Either the PSG sounds could be improved or a small soundfont could be used
– The arm9 code should be moved to arm7 to make it into a pure arm7 player
