Birdhunt GP (09-01-2008) (GP2x-F200 Game)

Imerion has released a GP2x-F200 game, but he himself, hasn’t one. If anyone wants to help beta testing, feel free to do so.

Release notes:

Hello everyone! I just finished a touch-screen based game for the F200. Problem is, I don’t have one myself so I am not certain if it works. Could someone help me test it and tell me how the touch-screen controls work?

I also need ideas for the game. It was mostly made as a test, but if people like it I might continue to work on it for a while. Here are the stuff I am still planning to implement :

* Non-touchscreen controls for all other GP2X units.
* Background music.
* Some better graphics. Especially the birds needs a redo.

And here are a few ideas of what could be implemented, if anyone wants it :

* Different levels with different backdrops and obstacles.
* Different types of birds, or perhaps something else to shoot at. (Targets, balloons, etc)

Any feedback is appreciated. More info can be found in the included ReadMe.

Categories v1.53 (iPhone Application)

Categories allows you to create categories on your desktop. These are icons that are like folders that can contain other icons to launch. This allows you to organize your desktop rather than having it be a huge mess. The app comes with a GUI configurator so that you do not have to edit text files. When you add an app to a category, it is removed from the springboard list so that it no longer shows up on the main desktop. When you remove the app from the category it is returned back to the springboard.

Changes:

fixed a bug on 1.0.2 firmware – the “Show Assigned Apps” toggle didn’t work

Install via Ste’s repository.

Jiggy v0.21 (iPhone misc)

With just Jiggy and a browser, you’ll be able to write an awesome iPhone application in a matter of minutes. JiggyApps run natively on the iPhone, so there is no messing around with HTML and the limitations of Mobile Safari. At the same time, you don’t need a compiler or even a Mac, because JiggyApps are written in JavaScript.

Thanks to Ste’s repository ( http://blog.psmxy.org/ ) for the news.

Jack and the Beanstalk (Build 2) (A2600 misc)

atariland2600 has posted a progress build of “Jack and the Beanstalk”.

Release notes:

Added a cut-scene between levels 1 & 2, even though I’m nowhere close to being done with designing levels for level 1, therefore, the only way to see the cutscene is by pressing reset, preferrably at the title screen. In the cut-scene (Jack just got home), Jack’s mother throws the beans out the house window. Night falls, and up grows a beanstalk. The sun rises and then level 2 begins (I haven’t done any programming for level 2 besides putting in the first screen’s playfield.) Hope you like it. Also, can someone please design a one-color troll for use in this game?
