JMingle is a social networking endeavor that works by scanning phones over Bluetooth. The goal of the project is to create a social networking platform in which ‘links’ between people are created when they are in range for their Bluetooth-enabled phones (or, eventually, other devices) can discover each other.
Future goals for JMingle are to create a more “competitive” style where those with the most “bump-ins” are ranked on a centralized site. This would require a web site where accounts are attached to the unique Bluetooth addresses of each device.

OpenWIG is an attempt to develop a J2ME mobile application (midlet) with same capabilities as Wherigo player.
Release notes:
Version 0.3.07 has been released. It fixes several minor but important bugs, adds some new Lua properties and supports Internal GPS’s. There are also several usability improvements.
Note: logging is turned off by default, you need to enable it in Options. Important: if you enable logging, then the phone will ask you twice for permission to read and once for permission to write when you start a cartridge. This can be confusing, at first i thought that the app didn’t react to my answer.
