Dcemu.co.uk steals and modifies articles from PDRoms (misc)

Just few hours ago myself, Kojote/PDRoms, wrote an article about how to extend the iPhones gaming function using gpSPhone. Now Wraggster shameless steals this idea, without giving credits where due. The original article is here: http://www.pdroms.de/news/7352/

Here is his post as you can find it per 05:05 20.11.2007 on dcemu.co.uk:

ZodTTDs excellent GBA Emulator for the Apple iPhone/itouch has opened the door to GBA Homebrew and more importantly in this newspost emulators of other systems

The following emulators for the Gameboy Advance should all be playable on the GBA Emulator for the iPhone, from arcade games to Atari2600 and even Snes games will work via these emulators.

Amstrad CPC
Asteroids
Black Tiger
Centipede
Greenboy Attack
Murdoc
Pacman
Punchout GBA RGBArcade
Remuadvance
Space Invadors
Atari 2600
BBC Micro
Chip 8
Colecovision
Game Gear
Gameboy
MSX
Nes
PCE Engine
Sega Master System
Sharp X1
Snes
Spectrum
Texas Instruments 83
Watara Supervision
Wonderswan

All can be found for download at GBA Emulation

To mention that GBA Emulation is a part of Wraggsters own Network, at least my article gave the homepages of the developers in first line… oh, to mention: PDRoms is fully non-commercial and hombrew developer friendly (we don’t link around in our own network to generate lots of pageviews and display a shitload of commercial ads…).

Wraggster how deep have you fallen? SHAME ON YOU!

He’s also pushing SNES emulation, tho it really doesn’t work that pretty… but well… you have your attention now! Congrats!

Spread the word and make him show who is the community! Teach him a lesson, so he will finally respect and proper link things of others! It’s not only about PDRoms, it’s also about every single homebrewer out there… I bet you prefer getting links to your own page, than having your product added up in his forum without mentioning a source? Right?

Fractalicious (iPhone misc)

Fractalicious is an app which calculates vectorbased fractals (that means, no Mandelbrot etc., but ferns, trees, Sierpinski triangles, etc.). It’s very easy to use – use two fingers (“pinch”) for zooming, moving and even rotating the fractal (note the “and”!), or drag a control point to change proportions/angles.

iStudy v0.91 (iPhone misc)

iFlashCards looks for folders in the /var/root/Library/iFlashCards directory on your iPhone. Create a folder with a questions.txt and answers.txt file with the question and answers listed one-per-line and place that folder in the /var/root/Library/iFlashCards directory. When you launch iFlashCards select the desired folder and start learning!

A sample flash card directory is in the downloads page (GRE-Vocab.zip). Simply extract and copy the folder as explained above to learn your vocab!

VNsea v0.6 (iPhone Application)

VNsea is a graphical VNC client for both the iPhone and the iPod touch based on Chicken of the VNC for Mac OS X. Version 0.6 is on the site now. This release should be quite a bit more stable than the last couple. Plus, it has some nice new features, including the long-awaited ctrl-alt-del command!

Changes:

A new helper functions window that is shown with the “More” button. The fit to screen controls have been moved here.
A new preference to keep open connections alive when the home button is pressed has been added. A check mark is visible on the VNsea icon in SpringBoard when there is an active connection.
Reorganised the main server list screen a little.
A workaround has been added for very large displays or multiple monitor systems. It is imperfect, in that it cuts the display off, but the underlying problem is with the OS so not a whole lot can be done.
Issue 6 Status display would be very handy
Issue 7 Garbled screen with multiple monitors or large display
Issue 8 Unable to send ctrl +alt +delete command
Issue 69 Connection to host computer should stay open if you press the home button
Issue 80 “New” button on Nav bar does not conform..
Issue 83 Occassional crash when connected for a while
Issue 86 Crashing using EDGE
Issue 100 Please add Tab key
Issue 101 No esc

iDemocracy v2.0.1 (iPhone misc)

iDemocracy is the very first iPhone 1.1.1 jailbreak and third-party app installation solution for the Windows platform, written by Drakenza which is (at least partially) automated, and has a GUI interface. It is currently supported on Windows XP/Vista and requires only iTunes, an iPhone, and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0.

iDemocracy 2 brings all kinds of new features like free ringtones on firmwares 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, as well as File Browsing (using Manzana) and all kinds of other wonderful things.

iDemocracy NOW SUPPORTS FW 1.1.2. However, it cannot unlock OTB 1.1.2 iPhones running bootloader 4.06 (yet). There will be a release 2.1 shortly after the release on the 16th which will add this functionality as soon as possible.
