SDL-GNUBoy (08-09-2009) (GBC emu for Dingoo Linux)

SDL-GNUBoy is a staticly compiled binary of SDL-GNUBoy for Dingoo Linux; it should work on any root file system.

Release notes:

Hi,

I compiled joyrider’s Dingoo port of GNUBoy with booboo’s latest toolchain. Made some simple changes to the default key mappings in main.c. Switched the B and A buttons and mapped X and L buttons to save and load state which works. The in-game saves work as before.

The Dingoo GNUBoy keys are:
B=B
A=A
X=Save State
L=Load State
R=Quit

I have not tested the save states extensively so back up your SD in case something goes wrong.

Before trying this you should back up your current game saves located in:

/local/home/.gnuboy/saves/Your Rom Names.sav

This version should work with previous in-game saves.

PS: Special thanks to joyrider for posting the updated source code.

Ingenic-MPlayer (03-09-2009) (Beta) (Dingoo Linux Application Port)

lordbla successfully compiled the MPlayer-sources optimized by Ingenic. It can already play music and videos!

Here comes an update:

http://rapidshare.de/files/48275911/mplayer_kernels_config.tar.gz.html

Here it is, the new version of the ingenic mplayer. For an update, you only have to replace the executables and the config-file.

It has improvements and regressions. Most videos I’ve tested ran very very well, some even better then with the media-player in the native firmware, but in some ff/rev will result in a loss of video-output. That may very well be a configuration issue, a little testing by the community may do wonders here.

OSD is still disabled because it is lagging.

Please, everyone, mess around with the config-file and tell me what you experience.

Have fun. I think this release is a valuable addition to the native media-player and dingux.

Ingenic-MPlayer (02-09-2009) (Alpha) (Dingoo Linux Application Port)

lordbla successfully compiled the MPlayer-sources optimized by Ingenic.

Here comes an update:

Here are the kernel-builds for both lcd-models, the executables and some config-files.

http://rapidshare.de/files/48269120/mplayer_kernels_config.tar.gz.html

I can’t tell much about the performance, since I only have a class2-sdcard and the kernel is still reading in 1-bit mode, but it seems to be quite comparable to the native video-player or even better.

edit: the config-files will hide the osd, since else it’s blinking all the time once triggered.

Ingenic-MPlayer (Early Alpha) (Dingoo Linux Application Port)

lordbla successfully compiled the MPlayer-sources optimized by Ingenic. It’s already possible to listen to music, but it does not play videos yet.

Everything is in a very early alpha stage, so don’t expect too much at this point.
