Jack and the Beanstalk (Build 44) (A2600 Game)

atari2600land has posted an update of his Atari 2600 homebrew game “Jack and the Beanstalk” which is based upon a fairy tale with the same name.

Release notes:

New version (I know, the second one today. I have nothing else to do, so…)

Changes:
+Level 2: Added the bird swooping down (or up, if the case) to try to get you. I also added two new screens at the end so now there’s 32 screens instead of 30.

+Level 3: Fixed everything about the giant’s room, both in and after (i think.) You can no longer keep going into the giants’ room and kill him multiple times.

By the way, I forgot password “99” which is a shortcut to the giant’s room; and the music at the end is gone.

PSPdisp v0.2 (PSP Application misc)

PSPdisp gives you an additional monitor with a 960×544 resolution (four times the area of the PSP display). There are four components working together, on Windows a display driver, an usb driver and the interface application which captures the screen, compresses it and sends it over USB to the PSP. On the PSP side there is an application that decompresses the frames and displays them. All settings are adjustable from the Windows side, the PSP really only acts as a passive display.

FusionGPSFix v1.0.0.3 (PPC Application)

This app runs after install, and after soft-reset, and immediately starts up the GPS hardware through the WM5+ GPS API. It waits 5 minutes for a GPS lock, or it quits. The GPS polling is limited to every 3 seconds to try to conserve some CPU cycles.

Currently does not use AGPS, but you can turn it on/off at your registry leisure.

This attempts to reduce the Time-To-First-Fix (TTFF) during which the GPS ephemeris almanac is slowly built up. This can take up to 12.5 minutes for a non-QuickGPS/AGPS accelerated device from a cold-start. By kick-starting immediately after soft-reset, subsequent GPS locks for the next ~6 days should be much quicker.

Takes 21K of disk, and ~1K of ram.

Changes:

1.0.0.3: fix multi-threading issues that caused popup notifications to fail
