The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a Seventh-generation home video game console released by Sony in 2006. Powered by a 3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine CPU, a 550 MHz Nvidia RSX graphics processor, and 256 MB of XDR system RAM alongside 256 MB of GDDR3 VRAM, it outputs resolutions up to 1920 x 1080. It introduced Blu-ray Discs as its primary software format, built-in Wi-Fi, the PlayStation Network online service, and the Sixaxis (later DualShock 3) wireless controller with motion sensing.
