Commodore’s 1992 Advanced Graphics Architecture (AGA) brought 32-bit graphics to the Amiga line, powered by the Alice and Lisa chips. It upgraded Chip RAM to 2 MB, expanded the color palette to 256 onscreen colors from a pool of 16.7 million, and doubled the data bus bandwidth over ECS. Paired with Motorola 68020 or 68030 CPUs, it drove flagship models like the Amiga 1200 and CD32.
