DSx86 is a PC/DOS emulator for Nintendo DS written by Patrick Aalto. It’s purpose is to allow you to run old DOS games on your Nintendo DS game console. Some of the older games run quite good and bring back memories.

Changes:

– Fixed a couple of bugs in the proportional font 80×25 Smooth scaling.
– Another attempt to fix the “Smooth” mode initialization when used in dsx86.ini.
– Implemented DOS function INT 21 AH=87 (Moria)

DS Pack by Copper is an Arcade emulator for Pacman and all possible related variants. The original Arcade ROMs are required, but not bundled with the download. As the game is still subject to copyright, there is also no way for us to provide the ROMs.

Changes:

* Compiled with libnds 1.5.6+ and devkitarm R38
* Adjustments for the following roms: btime, btime2, btimem, cookrace and scregg

Diablo2 Sorceress Project is a resurrected DS homebrew made by LeRodeur. The game is a Diablo 2 tribute, where you play as a sorceress that must survive an onslaught of zombies.

Release notes / Changes:

For the players:
-Added a menu after splash screens, save/load/controls.
-Npc dialogue (with sound streaming) On
-Quest-line: small and simple quests. Complete the quest-line for a special reward
-Finished way-point menu
-Fixed some display glitches
-Adjusted some skills, firewall/blaze were too powerful

Code improvements:
-Map are now loaded via nitrofs, with text files for config
-Quests can be made easily via a text file
-Sprites/images are now loaded dynamically, it’s a bit more clean
-Cleaned some ugly parts of the source code (though theres a lot to do left…)
-Fixed various bugs

ZXDS is an emulator of Sinclair ZX Spectrum for Nintendo DS, written by Patrik Rak. It is steadily reaching a mature stage of development, and it already has some noteworthy features, like accurate emulation of Spectrum 48k, 128k and Pentagon models (including sound), or support for TAP/TZX/PZX tape files, TRD/SCL disk files and RZX playback files.

Changes:

* The paused time is now not counted towards the current file times.
* The sleep time is now not counted towards any times but sleep time.
* Fixed the stats date display.

Once in a while someone bothers to create a demo for the Vectrex and Where Have All The Pixels Gone? by cmucc is actually a quite good one! Vectrex forever! And guess… they even managed to add Nyancat 😉

Dolphin Swimming In A Pitcher Of Beer is a fast demo released at The Gathering 2012.

viDSnips 3 by IceDaddy is a basic media player library for playing short video clips on the NDS for libNDS based homebrew projects.

For PALib based projects viDSnips 2 is probably more suitable as it gives better audio quality and performance.

XChat is an IRC chat program allowing you to join multiple IRC channels (chat rooms) at the same time, talk publicly, private one-on-one conversations etc. Even file transfers are possible.

Seven Kingdoms: Ancient Adversaries by Enlight Software is a former commercial realtime strategy game. Original game data was released as GPL and can be found here.
