ArcEm v1.5.1.4 (Acorn emu for Pandora)

ArcEm is a portable open-source emulator for the Acorn Archimedes. It’s capable of running multiple operating systems including RISC OS and ARM Linux. Ported to Pandora by Sam Watkins.

Changes:

1.5.1.4, some minor fixes: – starts fullscreen, can still alt-tab out of it. I stole (and fixed) code from an unmerged NET_WM_FULLSCREEN patch to SDL 1.2! – starts with mouse tracked, can still switch using Pandora ‘select/ctrl’ button – press Pandora logo button to quit

BeebEm v0.1.2.6 (BBC Micro emu for Pandora)

BeebEm by Mike Wyatt is a BBC Micro and Master 128 emulator and enables you to run BBC Micro software. BeebEm was first developed for UNIX systems in 1994 by Dave Gilbert and was then ported to other systems.

BeebEm for Pandora ported by Sam Watkins.

Additional information:

BBC Micro Emulator

– GP2X BeebEm, with minor changes
– built with gcc, optimized for OMAP3
– with Notaz SDL, for hardware scaling
– a few free disk images are included with the emulator
– button mapping and save states are working now
– remembers path to your disc images

This port is a work in progress, not perfect yet:

– the GP2X BeebEm uses 320×240, some scan lines are lost.
– the sound is a bit choppy sometimes
– virtual keyboard don’t work, not much needed on Pandora
– hard to type some keys in Basic, need a Basic key map / option?

Changes:

0.1.2.6, fixed to import old appdata, creates backup files like OddJob.uef~ if need be

PPSSPP v0.6.1.07 (PSP emu for Pandora)

ptitSeb ported PPSSPP to the OpenPandora handheld. PPSSPP is an open source project, licensed under the GPL 2.0 (or later).

PPSSPP is a PSP emulator written in C++, and translates PSP CPU instructions directly into optimized x86, x64 and (soon) ARM machine code, using an efficient JIT compiler.

PPSSPP can thus run on quite low-spec hardware, including stronger Android phones and tablets, as long as there’s support for OpenGL ES 2.0.

Changes:

* A bit faster (again, but still not enough)
* A frameskip option (ingame menu). Doesn’t look compatible with “hardware transform”
