Shakedown: Hawaii (Commercial) (Wii Game)

It’s 2020 and we do get a brand new physical Wii game. Vblank Entertainment and the guys at Nintendo made this possible. If you are into games like GTA, you will love this one. Let’s read on…

Shakedown: Hawaii | The "Full Tank" Update [Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS Vita, 3DS, PC]

Quote:

Welcome to Shakedown: Hawaii, Vblank Entertainment‘s latest open world adventure. Build a “legitimate” corporation by completing open world missions, acquiring businesses, sabotaging competitors, “rezoning” land, and shaking down shops for protection money.

You are the CEO, and questionable subsidiaries, misleading ads, fine print, hidden service fees, and marketing spin are your tools of choice. Shakedown: Hawaii parodies big business, and the most absurd business practices that go alongside.

From the boardroom to the streets, build your corporate empire and destroy the competition.

Open2x Bootloader v1.0 (GP2x misc)

Orkie still dives into GP2x development, which is a great thing. He recently contacted us to let us know about Open2x Bootloader. It’s an alternative bootloader for GP2X. Requires Orcus and DevkitARM to compile. ‘make’ will generate a gp2xboot.img file which can be flashed with the GPH u-boot. The bootloader has a simple command line interface accessible via UART – type ‘help’ to see the list of commands

The first release related to Open2x in 11 years (the Linux firmware hasn’t really changed).

Random Nerd-Tipp: servier.bar

If you are one of the few ones here running their own gastronomy business have a look at servier.bar – It’s a German company giving you the ability to create your own menu using QR-Codes. It’s a quite interesting system, so please go ahead and check it out. And yes, this is actually sort of off topic, but maybe interesting to the one or other. They offer a free trail month, so there is nothing to lose. All information is available in German language only yet.

Kindly notice we got paid to post about this.

Where is my body? (Kickstarter) (Game Boy Game)

There is about one more week left to fund a brand new Game Boy game named Where is my body? by Dana Puch. The type of game is very particular, an original idea from the graphic adventures of the early 90s. You have to find out the different types of mysteries and follow the thread of the story. Your mission is to find the body. Surely you have not seen many games of this type in Gameboy, and surely you will spend some very entertaining hours.

Xump (Atari Lynx Game)

At Songbird Productions you can now purchase Xump by Retroguru for your Atari Lynx! The game ROM will stay free of charge. This is not to be confused with Xump 2.

Help Holger to clean up deserted space fields. As this is a very dangerous task for a human being a headbot named Xump will be the one who has to suffer.

Your main task is to clean all dissolving tiles on several single-screen levels by simply stepping on them, one by one. Few fields are secured with mines and need a double tap. Mines can be blown up when passing by or disarmed by Xump when staying on this specific field for a short moment. Certainly the mission sounds easier than it will be.

ledHeadWii v1.1 (Wii misc)

ledHeadWii is based on Peter Hirschberg‘s LedHEAD (classic electronic LED handled game simulator) source code.

LEDhead is a program that simulates the classic electronic LED (light emitting diode) based handheld games of the 70’s. Now you can relive the excitement of your childhood years all over again! All games feature fully authentic sound-effects, and faithfully replicate the game play of the originals.

Rather than using proprietary code or “ROM images”, as is the case with emulators, LEDhead uses simple but extremely clever imitation to ensure excruciating faithfulness to the games you grew up with. Endless hours of painstaking effort have gone into ensuring the accuracy of each of these games.
