GeeXboX v0.1 (Alpha5) (Wii Application)

GeeXboX is an open-source media center software.

Changes:

This is GeeXboX for Wii version 0.1alpha5. The main changes from previous version are inclusion of SDHC hack for Wii and update of MPlayer to take advantage of recent progress in FFMPEG native codecs. As a result, some SDHC cards can now be read and written by GeeXboX for Wii and some rmvb files can be played nearly free of visual artifacts.

This version is based on the GameCube Linux team’s whiite-linux-0.1a kernel patches and GeeXboX 1.2.1. Whiite-linux-0.1a includes support for Wii USB host controller. However, support for native wifi and DVD is still missing, and USB host controller support is imperfect, making some USB-related functions unusable.

DSKiosk v1.12b (NDS Application)

DsKiosk is a small application that allows you to run your homebrew programs more easily, and above all, with much more class. The more your collection grows, it becomes more difficult to find your programs scattered all over your SDCard: Between programs that must start from the root, others that require a particular subdirectory, not your organization Personal …

In short, if you dream of having all your homebrew in front quickly, with an interface to fade MoonShell your jealousy, then DsKiosk is for you!

Changes:

A major step was taken, DsKiosk now also works on the R4 card (thank you Michael ‘Fenrir’ and all testers for their invaluable assistance). The ZIP file now contains two different executable: dskiosk.nds and dskiosk-r4.nds. Use this if your linker is an R4 or similar, or if dskiosk.nds refuses to run.

ZXDS v0.9.0 (Beta 1) (Spectrum emu for NDS)

ZXDS is an emulator of Sinclair ZX Spectrum for Nintendo DS, written by Patrik Rak. It is steadily reaching a mature stage of development, and it already has some noteworthy features, like accurate emulation of Spectrum 48k, 128k and Pentagon models (including sound), or support for TAP/TZX/PZX tape files, TRD/SCL disk files and RZX playback files.

Changes:

+ Support for download of files from HTTP and FTP servers over WiFi.
+ Virtual directory system for creating arbitrary listings of both local and remote files.
Config for World of Spectrum, RZX Archive and Demotopia data feeds included.
See online.txt for how to create the listings and setup your own servers.
* The data_path, saves_path and screens_path are now configurable.
* Help now finally uses the variable width font as I always intended.
* Stick to the Zilog behavior regarding SCF/CCF undocumented flags.
* Built with the latest devkitPro release, should solve most libfat/DLDI issues

As reported on HackMii 10% of the Wii’s they tested for BootMii compatibility housed a new Boot1. WiiNewz is now confirming that these Wii’s will not let you install “SoftMods” such as the Wii and GameCube backup loaders. However, modchips and general homebrew aren’t effected – yet.

OS Logger (13-03-2009) (PPC Application)

Logs your last 3 received SMS on your calendar as appointment. If you have S2U2, and have activated the “show appointment” option, you can automatically read your SMS without having to unlock your device. You have to keep the application running in the background.

mPlug v0.6 (PPC Application)

This small program runs in the background and checks permanant if a headset is connected to the PocketPC. When the headset is removed accidentally or intenional from the PocketPC, the volume will be set to a default value. This should prevent, that you forget to change the volume or to stop the music playing and so your music won’t “annoy” other people around you.

UCMe2 v0.1.1 (Beta) (PPC Application)

Release notes by Radimus:

Premise is that there are many backup utilities that will backup/restore either dirs or the whole ROM, but not just for a specific apps settings. There are many ways that dev could use to store their settings for a given app, but getting them all to do the same way is “difficult”. However, if program A had it’s settings in a settings.ini (or whatever name) and that specific file could be backed up and restored later after a hard reset or new ROM installed, it would make the flashing a ROM even easier since UC came out.

My idea is for an app that works sort of like AppToDate, in that it will parse a collection of ini files in a directory to determine what a given progam uses for it’s configuation (files or reg keys) and will backup/restore them.

Basically all that someone needs to do is:
– Extract the UMCe2.zip to a folder on their Storage Card
– Register Mortscript (just click on it once, from this point on you can just click on a script and it will run.)
– Place the INI files that define the files or keys of the app that you’d like to backup/restore into the Storage CardUCMe2ini folder. I have posted a small collection of some INI files as examples
– If you’d like startmenu shortcuts, I attached a few dummy.exe files that you can put into the UCMe2 folder so you can make shortcuts.
– Run the UCMe2_Backup and it will read every INI file in the ini folder and store the backup files in Storage CardUCMe2Backup
– Run the UCMe2_Restore and it will read every INI file in the ini folder are restore the backups

Feel free to create your own INI files and post them here for others to share
