Commodore’s 1990 Enhanced Chip Set (ECS) upgraded the Amiga architecture with the new Super Agnus and Denise chips. It boosted Chip RAM capacity to 2 MB and added higher display resolutions like 640 x 480 (Productivity) and 1280 x 400 (SuperHires). It maintained full backward compatibility with OCS while running alongside a 7.14 MHz Motorola 68000 CPU.
