MobileMpd.Net is a small program that can be used to control a MPD (Music Player Daemon) server using a WiFi enabled Windows Mobile device. This application is a scanner for the open service http://www.opencellid.org. This project wants to create a complete database of CellID worldwide, with their locations.

This is very useful for a lot of things, working like a “second GPS”, for devices without build in GPS receiver.

More than this, RemoteTracker (version 0.3.0-0 and above) can use this database when the GPS receiver could not find the signal, or if the device does not have this radio inside.
