DSx86 is a PC emulator for Nintendo DS. It’s purpose is to allow you to run old DOS games on your Nintendo DS game console.

Release notes:

No more need for the LOADFIX command! See the previous blog post for more info about how I changed the code to enable this, if you are interested.
EGA horizontal smooth scrolling fixed. The horizontal scrolling was very jittery in games like Supaplex, Heimdall and Crystal Caves, for example. Again more info in my previous blog post.
The BIOS window scrolling functions (up/down) are now implemented for each supported graphics mode and for both directions.
Removed the check for running zeroed data, as this prevented the Great Escape game from starting. Now you won’t get an Unsupported Opcode error in this situation, the game will probably just hang.
Fixed a bug in MOV SP,SReg opcode. For example a game called Berlin 1948 used SP as a loop index with SS as the initial value, and the buggy opcode caused SP to get zeroed, which in turn caused the game to fill the entire screen when it only wanted to write a few pixels.
Various game-specific fixes, as mentioned in my previous blog post.
All the missing opcodes (that weren’t caused by the game executing data) in the debug logs I have received have been implemented. So quite a few games should now progress further than before.

Jump (20-06-2010) (NDS Game)

Quick! Take your D-Pad on your DS and use it to avoid falling in this incredibly addicting arcade game. All you need to do is move your character left or right, and guide his fall so that he lands on a safe platform. When you find yourself in a pickle, jump to the purple booster and bounce your way to safety, but be careful, the wind and gravity change randomly.

The objective is simple, don’t fall off the screen. Therefore, it can be played by anyone who is seeking an exciting challenge. Beat your previous high score and receive a ranking for your efforts. Who knows, you may be an “EPIC FAIL!” or one of the few who can survive long enough to receive the “Unbelievable!!!” ranking, the highest ranking of all. With an attractive feel to the game, you won’t be able to put this game down until you finally get to that final ranking, so try your hand at it! Give it a go.

Plane Popper (17-06-2010) (NDS Game)

“Plane Popper” is a simple flight game in which you pilot a small bi-plane and collect balloons. Control the altitude of you aircraft with the D-pad or Stylus to avoid obstacles such as flying brick blocks. Careful not to fly too low though, if you crash into the trees you will lose a life and be re-spawned in the middle of the screen. More and more blocks are added as your distance increases making the game get increasingly difficult. Also, be prepared for a surprise when your distance reaches 5000.
