netlib is small function library in Lua that will allow anyone with knowledge in Lua to make their game be online multiplayer. It uses simple commands such as netsend(id,data,abtribute ) and netget(id).The idea of the id is say if I made a game, the id could be”samsgame”. Then, I could do netsend(“samsgame”,”sam is at level 1″,”a”). If the abtribute is”a”, it will add to the data, if it is”w”, it will replace the data. Franxis has updated his MAME (Multiple Arcarde Machine Emulator) port for the GP2x. Changes in this release:
TV-Out support. Thanks, Kounch, for the information. New option to configure video synchronization: Disabled, Double Buffer and VSync. Support for more GP2X Clock speeds: 133-300 MHz (without flickering). Volume control corrected. Some improvements in the frontend. Domm has updated his port of VisualBoyAdvance SDL for the GP2x. The speed has been improved but the emulator is still unplayable.
This is a straight port of VisualBoyAdvance SDL. It isn’t isn’t very fast and there is no sound. Most of the time it rounds around 6fps. You can tweak frame skipping and other settings in VisualBoyAdvance.cfg.
critical has updated his port of UAE4ALL (UAE for DC) for the GP2x. Release notes:
0.4.2 changes the overclocking options so it leaves whatever’s already set well alone until the overclock option is selected on the menu. I also fixed the volume control in mouse mode bug.
