Intrepid Izzy v2018.02 (Commerical) (WIP) (Kickstarter) (DC Game)

Intrepid Izzy by Senile Team combines platforming, beat ’em up and adventure elements to create a unique experience with depth, character and above all, fun. Here comes the February 2018 development update:

Quote:

Hello, you lovely people!

This month’s development update is a bit later than usual. That’s mostly on account of the fact that I had to file taxes in January over the funds that were raised last year. Normally this only takes an hour or so, but in this case it was a lot more complex and time-consuming than expected. But enough about that, on to the good stuff!

Backer NPCs and Portraits

Almost everyone who went for an in-game portrait or NPC has now submitted the information necessary to make them. I’ve made numerous sketches, which I will soon send to those involved for feedback.

Difficulty curve

Feedback on the demo was very positive, which makes me very happy. However, while some players picked it up effortlessly, there were others who found it to be quite difficult/overwhelming. To give the latter group a better chance to familiarise themselves with the intricacies of the game, it will start with an easy level which introduces the various moves more gradually. While working on this level, I’ve also designed some new, less menacing enemies.

Bugfixes

You’re probably used to only hearing about bugfixes during the final phase of a game’s development – or worse yet, only after it has already been released. But I as any developer with an ounce of sense knows, bugs should be found and fixed sooner rather than later. During the Kickstarter campaign, there was a lot of focus on creating more content to show off. But there was no time to pay attention to details, including non-critical bugs. Most of these have now been addressed.

Correction regarding the second Izzy figure

I said in my last update that a second statue would be produced in the form of Yzzi, Izzy’s evil doppelganger. Unfortunately the factory has meanwhile informed me that they ran into a technical problem producing this particular design in conjunction with the original one. I guess I should have waited until I actually had the product in my own hands before bringing the news. Anyway, the plans for a second figure are still in effect, just with a different design. I expect to hear from the factory again when they’re done celebrating Chinese New Year.

Best regards,

Roel van Mastbergen / Senile Team

Naev is a 2D space trading and combat game, taking inspiration from the Escape Velocity series, among others. Ported to Pandora by ptitSeb.

You pilot a space ship from a top-down perspective, and are more or less free to do what you want. As the genre name implies, you are able to trade and engage in combat at will. Beyond that, there is an ever-growing number of storyline missions, equipment, and ships; Even the galaxy itself grows larger with each release. For the literarily-inclined, there are large amounts of lore accompanying everything from planets to equipment.

* Updated sources (v0.7.0)
* Updated libs
* Switched to gl4es

Barony: Cursed Edition v2.0.7.03 (Pandora Game Port)

Barony is a 3D, first-person roguelike. The goal of the game is to descend to the bottom of a dark dungeon known as the Devil’s Bastion and destroy an undead lich named Baron Herx, who terrorized the peaceful town of Hamlet in life and is now harboring a curse against the land from beyond the grave. To aid you in your quest are friendly humans who have been eeking out a rough life within the dungeon for generations, as well as any friends you can bring with you in real life: Barony is the first of its kind as a first-person roguelike in that it fully supports cooperative multiplayer for up to four players.

You will need the game data from the full game to play this PND. Either put the GoG version install (for the Linux or Windows version) inside appdata/barony, or put all the installation files inside the game subfolder.

Release notes:

* Fix a bug that could make the game to crash

CG Madness v1.3.0.02 (Pandora Game Port)

CG Madness is based on the classic game Marble Madness. It is running on OpenGL and uses current CG techniques like light maps, bump-mapping and reflection shader. It also has an editor where you can create your own levels. Ported to Pandora by ptitSeb.

Release notes:

Here is CG Madness, a small game similar to Marble Madness. It has been ported using glshim. Note that there is no sound at all, and the game has not a lot of levels…

Nub are setup to have mouse buttons on Left Nub and Mouse movement on Right Nub. Mouse look is activated, but you can also rotate the view with the Shoulder buttons, and Zoom in/out with {A}/{B}.
Jump with Space or {X}

On CC (and Rebirth?) model, I suggest you disable reflect (F2 in game to toggle it). To use shader (warning, slow down the game), create a file named .es in appdata/cgmadness that contain just the number 2.
