The Retro League Podcast – Episode 437 – Stationary Sonic and the Return of Pogs (misc)

The Retro League Podcast features discussion about the latest retro gaming news, re-releases, community developments and reviews of our favorite games.

This week:

This week we wonder how many โ€˜Johny Turboโ€™s there are, but we know exactly what percentage of people who will get the upcoming FF7 HD remake have played the original. Weโ€™re video game hipsters because we havenโ€™t played the most popular games on a lot of retro systems, and classic Mega Man is coming to Nintendoโ€™s latest system. We donโ€™t understand the popularity of Pogs or how you would put them in an augmented reality cell phone game in this episode of the Retro League.

The Retro League Podcast – Episode 436 – Letโ€™s Podcasting (misc)

The Retro League Podcast features discussion about the latest retro gaming news, re-releases, community developments and reviews of our favorite games.

This week:

This week weโ€™re not insulting Prince Harry, and we warn against eating 13-year old honey mustard. Computers are randomly making Mario and Doom levels while we enjoy our relaxing RPG town music playlists. If the return of the mythical NES Classic Mini wasnโ€™t good enough for you Japan is getting an anime-themed one and weโ€™re also getting a tiny, strangely-colored Neo Geo that doesnโ€™t come with a power cord. Weโ€™re putting on our wizard hats and swimming away from bigger fish in this episode of the Retro League.

Bomb The Pentominos v1.14.2 (Android Game)

Bomb The Pentominos is an Android puzzle game by Belldin Games. The game itself is ad-supported.

The goal of the game is to fit the Pentominos and Tetrominos in a way that they make full rows, which when is full, will be deleted and gives space for more pieces. Full rows also is the only way of scoring in the game.

The challenge is that the game also will go faster after some time and also after each 10 filled rows, which makes it real hard to survive at some speed. The way of scoring big is to build holes for one single piece that makes 4 full rows, but waiting for the right piece to make that gasp filled, may also fill up the board quick.

Game ends when there isn’t place for more pieces.
