iJailBreak v0.5.3 (iPhone Application)

iJailBreak can automatically add third party applications to the iPod Touch and iPhone.

Release notes:

We’ve just uploaded iJailBreak 0.5.3. This version brings a few features from the new ZiPhone version released a short bit ago.

First, the unlock now works on all iPhones – regardless of whether you bought it this afternoon or on June 29. Second, we got some conflicing reports from our PowerPC users regarding iJailBreak working – some said it worked, others said it didn’t. This update has re-ensured PowerPC compatibility for those running Tiger or Leopard. If you’re running any other version of Mac OS X, iJailBreak will not work.

IMPORTANT: this release does not include iPod Touch support. We’re still working on that.

It will be pushed as an update in the next few hours to our current install base, but if you’d rather use iJailBreak 0.5.3 now, you can download it here on our Google Code. Enjoy!

Thanks to http://www.dcemu.co.uk for the news.

ZiPhone v2.0 (iPhone Application misc)

ZiPhone allows you to easily software unlock your iPhone. No hardware modification is required.

Release notes:

ZiPhone v2.0 is finally OUT. n the command line version, you will find a new ption “-b” be very careful with that!

I take no responsability if you brick your phone!

ZiPhone -b will downgrade bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9, flash 4.03.13_G baseband version and unlock it (in one shot!).

It worked for me on 2 ootb 1.1.2 phones. It will work on 1.1.3 ootb phones too. Other options are unchanged.

Do not forget to donate! The future of ZiPhone will depend on you also! If you can’t code, or contribute in other ways, just donate.

I think we won’t need another version till the next firmware release 🙂

Namaste!
Peace out.
(To quote my favourite blogger)

Important:
For people who get stuck on apple logo.
Try to use: ZiPhone -v -b

That solved the problem for many people.

SpringDial (Alpha) (iPhone Application)

SpringDial puts speed dials of your contacts on the SpringBoard of a jailbroken iPhone. The advantage of this is over using the Webclip method is that it is more of a true speed dial. Safari doesn’t have to load, and you are not asked to confirm the call. If you happen to have a photo for the contact in your Address Book, then it is what is used as the icon for the contact.

The easiest way to install it is to add the repo http://i.mineshaftgap.net/

iAno WIP (iPhone Application)

Ever wanted to misuse your iPhone as piano… soon you will get that chance.

Other notes:

Features are:-
– Multi-touch. Up to five keys playable at once for complex chords.
– Multi-sampled, so each key is a real piano sample.
– Easy change between octaves, and can start at C or F key.
– 4 Octave.
– Animated keys really look like they are being pressed.

Future features MooTheCoo is working on:-
– Stereo 88 key multi-sampled grand piano. This will require finding a sample CD that will legally allow him to do this (!), and using MP3s instead of Wavs (which is pretty tricky on the iPhone at the moment).
– The old 1.1.3 compatability issue. Currently tested on 1.1.1
– Adding some built-in instructions just in case people can’t work out how to use it…
– He is Finding some nice repository to host it

The application is still in development but a video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycIjt-ykWRo
