txt-read v1.0 (Wii Application)

txt-read is a simple text reader app for the Wii. It can read any file stored in plain text format. It uses the Wii’s console, and has all the features you would expect from an app nowadays (Wiimote, Front SD, and Homebrew Channel support).

Changes:

Finished file selector (partially me, partially CraZzy) – with subdirectories and proper scrolling and skip 5 files feature, added quick usage info, fixed many bugs, added option to toggle numbers, added a return to selector feature, added a progress bar, reinstated support for arguments.

Starfall v0.5 (Wii Application)

Starfall, formerly HackInstaller, is an application developed by Crediar to patch the system menu to include new features.

Information:
These hacks only work with the System Menu 3.2E(v290) or 3.2U(v289). If you have any other version, it will just return to the loader.

This tool does not update any SHA1 hashes or signatures. Currently IOS isn’t checking those, but that could be fixed in a future update.

Just load it and carefully read the on screen stuff otherwise you won’t be able to install it.

All hacks are optional and can be installed or removed separately.

The Rescue Menu is a built-in menu by Nintendo, it doesn’t make your Wii unbrickable. If you install another System Menu, all hacks will be removed.

Your System Menu will only be patched, it won’t be deleted. This makes the patch progress very brick safe.

ScummVM Wii (Revision 33789) (Wii misc)

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

Some of the adventures ScummVM supports include Adventure Soft’s Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2; Revolution’s Beneath A Steel Sky, Broken Sword 1 and Broken Sword 2; Flight of the Amazon Queen; Wyrmkeep’s Inherit the Earth; Coktel Vision’s Gobliiins; Westwood Studios’ The Legend of Kyrandia and games based on LucasArts’ SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system such as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max and more.

Changes:

– proper fullscreen video mode
– multiple graphic modes with different overscan values
– “fullscreen mode” stretches the picture on 16:9 displays
– fixed broken sword 1/2 gfx garbage
– support for setShakePos()

Thanks to www.tehskeen.com for the news.
