Dual Boot Installer (16-09-2009) (Dingoo Linux misc)

Ignacio Garcia aka booboo has some great news about his “Dual Boot Installer”, he made progress and eliminated the sometimes occurring “Flash Write Error” and released the fix to the public.

Quote:

I’ve just released a new dual-boot installer in the hope that it fixes the “flash write error” problem some users have experienced. The error is caused by one or more bad pages in the first block of NAND. This is normal and there is a mechanism that was supposed so handle it but wasn’t working. As I don’t have bad pages in this first block in my two A320s, I can’t test it myself, so, until someone reports that it is working for him, consider it beta.

Manic Miner – The Lost Levels DS (Demo) (NDS Game)

Developer “Flash”, who was already involved in the development of Warhawk DS, presented his latest project to the public.

It’s named “Maniac Miner – The Lost Levels” and is apparently a remake/sequel of the all time classic Maniac Miner. The graphics are really excellent and raise mood for more!

The screenshots shows the impression of the FINAL version, the demo has “oldschool” graphics.

Thanks to http://nintendomax.com/index.php?topic_id=10536 for the news.

UDIDit v1.1.0 (iPhone Application)

Are you developing an iPhone OS application and need the UDID from a device for Ad Hoc testing? Then you need UDIDit!

UDIDit is free application that makes it simple to retrieve the UDID from an iPhone OS device. By installing UDIDit on your iPhone or iPod Touch, you can easily send an email that includes the following useful information:

รขโ‚ฌยข Device Name (i.e. รขโ‚ฌล“Steveรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs iPod Touchรขโ‚ฌย)
รขโ‚ฌยข UDID = Unique Device Identifier required for Ad Hoc testing
รขโ‚ฌยข Model (i.e. รขโ‚ฌล“iPod Touch (2nd Gen)รขโ‚ฌย)
รขโ‚ฌยข Model ID (i.e. รขโ‚ฌล“iPod2,1?)
รขโ‚ฌยข Version = iPhone OS version and build number (i.e. รขโ‚ฌล“3.0 (7A341)รขโ‚ฌย)
รขโ‚ฌยข Capacity = Total space on the deviceรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs file system
รขโ‚ฌยข Available = Available space on the deviceรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs file system

As a developer, it can be difficult to explain to your testers how to obtain their deviceรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs UDID and send it to you. To make it easier, simply ask them to install UDIDit on their device and press the รขโ‚ฌล“Send Emailรขโ‚ฌย button.

You can even email them a URL that they can click on from their device after installing UDIDit and it will automatically generate an email to the specified address (i.e. รขโ‚ฌล“udidit://emailaddress@yourdomain.comรขโ‚ฌย). Or you can copy the UDID to the pasteboard by clicking on the UDID (iPhone OS 3.0 and above).
