1k Among Fish by SkyBerron is a colorful, action game. Built up on incredible graphics and presentation, for PICO-1K Jam 2022.

You play as a fish, who eat fish smaller than you and grow up, but be careful! As your fish gets chunkier, game unlocks larger size fishes and it’s more difficult to avoid collisions. ​

Nono 1k by NuSan is a simple number puzzle game, developed for the virtual console Pico-8 as part of the 2022 PICO-1K Jam.

The rules of the game are simple but tricky as well.

• You can change difficulty and board size (5 to 15) in ENTER menu.
• Press C to fill a cell and X to mark it as empty, arrow keys to move around.
• You can also use the mouse, left click to fill a cell and right click to mark as empty.

Bouncy Blob by NuSan is one button tiny physic based platformer made for PICO-1K Jam 2022. The style of the game is rather simple, oriented with a touch of arcade.

You can use any button (like c, v or arrow keys) to jump, you have infinite double jumps and have to reach the end of the randomized tunnel in each level. The number at the top is a timer which shows how much time you have taken to finish each level.​

MSXmas is MSX2 game by Brazilian developer André Baptista. It is a classic catching action game where you play as Santa, catching gifts. You move around with left/right arrow keys and space/fire to control him. If you don’t catch your gifts of the day, you can’t go on your night tour.​

1937 by joesg is a multi-lingual MSXdev game with both, an English and a Spanish edition. The background of the game is inspired from the Spanish Civil War, in the year 1937.

You play the game as a kid, who is lost and alone in an infernal bombardment hell. With his hometown being demolished all around him, all you need to do is make him run. Run through each level, watch out for the bombing and bullets constantly dropping on you, save your life by surviving each destructive stage. ​

The Tower Of Gold by Kirem is an adventure game developed for the MSXdev22 competition. This MSX1 game has the option to save your progress to the disk, however for one slot only.

In this adventure, you enter the Tower Of Gold and defeat the enemies on your way. You can use collected objects and spells to your advantage, by using them you can defend yourself more. Upgrade your skills and stats by gaining experience through each level, make it to floor 50, kill the antagonist and finish the game.​

Balloon Buster by Hakogame is a MSX1 arcade game. This game is different from the rest of the MSXdev games, as said by the team, “If you need a break from blowing up alien spaceships or slashing and hacking up mythical monsters with a sword or battle axe, then why not vent our frustrations on balloons for a change.”

The goal of the game is to pop the required number of balloons in each stage and make your way to the exit before you run out of turns. Control the Smiley in any direction with your cursor keys and fire. The game gets difficult with each coming level, pop or bust, there’s no other option.​

Tank Keeper by NuSan has been recently published for the Pico-8.

Resources:

• white rocks: fuel that you must bring back to the tank
• brown rocks: upgrade your mining power
• yellow rocks: temporary boost your move speed

Your tank will only move if there is no rocks on the path and if fuel is sufficient. Use arrow keys to move your character and mine simply by repeatedly colliding with a rock. The deeper you go into the caves the harder the rocks will be, but you will find more resources.
