Star Ark v2018.05.27 (WIP) (Genesis Game)

Star Ark is a science fiction game being developed for the Sega Genesis. The game is set on an interstellar colony ship. The player is a member of the crew who must put down a mutiny and set the ship back on course. The 8 Bit Daddy Daughter Team recently posted an update.

Quote:

This video shows the a mock-up title screen. The ship in Star Ark is a Bussard ramjet and this title screen depicts the vessel traveling in the interstellar void from right to left. The flickering trail of plasma exhaust from the fusion engine acts as underlining for the title.

Tanglewood v2018.05.25 (WIP) (Genesis Game)

Release client of Tanglewood still ahead!

Quote:

Friday update: Release Candidate is so close I could scream! A few issues held it up this week, but it’s back down to a very small handful of bugs again before we make the call.

For context: we were ready to mark a build as RC1 just yesterday, but a bizarre palette messup and crash was found on a popular clone machine, which unravelled a whole host of problems with our assembler and the manner in which it applies code optimisations. All fixed now.

As a bonus, the game is now more optimised, because the optimisations we thought were being applied for the past two years actually weren’t!

Massive kudos to the Closed beta team, who are still here helping out, getting us through this! I’d love to give you a new target date but we all know how that worked out last time! I’ll just keep everyone posted as things happen.
