FEWidgets are Omnia like widgets for Windows Mobile devices.

Changes:

– Added new event “PowerOn” rised when the device returns from Sleep.

PyFolder is a Python application that can view Python scripts as icons and launch them. It is like a virtual folder in your standard Application Shell. PyFolder makes it easy to download and run Python scripts that are not wrapped to sis packages. User can choose to open any folder, and run the Python scripts it contains. You can also set your custom (jpg) icons for applications.

Frodo is a Commodore 64 home computer emulator. It was ported from Christian Bauer’s original Frodo for Amiga. Porting for Epoc was done by Jal Panvel and Alfred E. Heggestad. Porting to Nokia 9210 and S60 was done by Hannu Viitala. Frodo was released for 9210 on July, 2001. That was the first C64 emulator for any cell phone!

GameDaily published an article about Sony public-semi opening the Playstation 2 for third party developers. Unfortunatly you will still require to buy the official devkit from them, which is a bit pricy for the regular user.

Kiev, Ukraine – PlayStation development took center stage at Casual Connect when Sony Europe’s developer relations manager George Bain addressed an audience of Eastern European developers.

The PlayStation 2 has sold 131.3 million units to date, he said. The software sales for that platform have been over 1.4 billion.

The PlayStation Portable has sold 41.3 million units. Software sales have been 169 million.

And as of June 30th, the PlayStation 3 has sold 14.4 million units, with software sales of 94 million.

The most important information Bain had for his audience was news that, in Europe, the PlayStation 2 “is effectively an open platform,” adding, “You no longer have to submit a game for content approval.” He used examples from Russia and Indian developers, saying they can “create low-development cost titles and release them in their market.”…
