GP2X-F100 Firmware v1.2.1 Miyu Patch (GP2x Firmware Patch)

Miyu has modified the previous patch for the GP2x firmware to reduce the writes to your NAND. This will increase the lifetime of your GP2x. Here are details:

It has now been optimized for Firmware 1.2.1 and you now have the possibility to either install the cleaned bootscripts, ext2 support for SD-Cards AND the NAND lock or only the Bootscripts, the ext2 support but not the NAND lock.

WARNING:This is something for people who know what they are doing. Keep in mind that doing something wrong can brick your GP2x easily. Also keep in mind to uninstall this patch, before upgrading to a newer firmware.

WonderBoy v0.3 (GBA Game)

  • fixed bugs : impossibility to shoot more than once on skateboard, bad skate direction, items displayed twice or more…

    Goomba Color (Alpha 3) (GBC emu for GBA)

    Image provided by: DweditDwedit has released another alpha version of Goomba Color, which is a Gameboy Color emulator for the Gameboy Advance. A couple of games already have pretty good compatibility (a compatibility list can be foundhere). Changes:

  • No longer shows colored solid tiles when the screen should be off
  • Fixed off-by-one scanline problems introduced in alpha 1. Now you can specify whether you want to emulate a GB, GBC, or GBA
  • Added double speed mode, either timers only or complete
  • Fixed splash screen corrupting graphics
  • Go Multiboot feature for smaller GB roms (and a couple tiny GBC games too)
  • Major changes to SRAM save system
  • Added 32k saves, Enter the menu with L+R to save the game’s sram
  • Stack writes to SRAM are now saved
  • Save files smaller in pogoshell
  • Some changes merged from Kuwanger’s version
  • Palette changes apply immediatly

    PSP-HTTPD v0.5 (PSP Application)

    PSP-HTTPD is an extremely portable web server that runs off just your PSP’s Wi-Fi capabilities, in Infrastructure mode. When you start it up, it will connect to the Wi-Fi router and then your PSP will be accessible by any other Internet-capable device on your network. This means that you can wirelessly browse the files on your firmware 1.5 PSP using your computer, cell phone, PDA, or even a second PSP with the web browser! To go even further, you can open up your router to the web and host a website off your PSP.

    New in 0.5 are some nice interface enhancements – the server now has a status bar at the top of the console, showing how much it has transferred, the current uptime, and internal IP. In addition to this, PSP-HTTPD is now a standalone app – copy it to your /PSP/GAME directory and serve away. Here’s the official list of changes:

  • Server is now a standalone PSP app, using a custom compiled version of LuaPlayer
  • New WLAN connection code in LuaPlayer core, allowing for quick checking of connection status without freezes
  • Network profile selector now able to save your selection
  • Network profile selector auto-connects if you only have one network profile
  • Added top status bar to show input/output/uptime/IP info
  • All server execution is within a single loop now, allowing for soft restarts
  • Added slight margins and line spacing to console output for better readability
  • Changed directory listing template to 90% relative width to make viewing on mobile/PSP browsers easier
  • Split code and templates into separate directories
  • Title of directory listing page reflects location
  • Added auto_restart config setting
  • Added autorestart_method config setting
  • Fixed crash when trying to view non-existent directory
  • Added MIME type for MP3 files
  • Added screenshot function (press Triangle when idling to save to screenshot.png)
  • Changed ‘bytes’ to ‘b’ in file size parsing function

    Vice2x (Alpha 3) (Multiple emus for GP2x)

    Snaff has released a third alpha version of Vice2x. This is a port of VICE to the GP2x. Vice2x is ported from the UNIX version of VICE and is using Rlyeh’s Minilib. VICE emulates a C64, VIC-20, Plus4, C128, PET and CBM-II.
