zodttd strikes again! GP2PSX a Playstation emulator for the GP2x has been updated. Here are the release notes:
This release of GP2PSX version 0.10, as just mentioned, plays Final Fantasy Tactics, which uses 3D scenery. This is more of a”preview”version of what’s to come. There is currently no alpha blending in this GPU core and there are a few bugs to be sorted out. For instance, when loading FF TACTICS the Squaresoft logo isn’t shown, andinstead shows a full screen fade in and out. There is also an issue or two with the ability to load textures at times. You should notice quite a bit of speed increase in 2D games, and the ability to play more 3D games at around 20+ FPS. So if you can put up with odd graphical bugs at times, this should be a good release to check out. All in all, this new GPU core allows the ability to play 3D games, and faster 2D game rendering.
