Rise Of The Triad GP2x v0.2 (GP2x Game Port)

Puck2099 has updated his port of the 3D Ego-Shooter Rise of The Triad.

Changes:

* Fixed sound problems.
* Added game music.
* Added TVOut autodetection so now it isn’t necessary to have 2 programs for each version.
* Increased clock speed from 133 to 166 Mhz. It isn’t too bad at 133 Mhz, but in maximum difficulty level it could slow down a bit when the screen is full of enemies.

Mobilechat v1.0 (Beta) 1.2.6 (iPhone Application)

Using a simplistic approach, keeping a unified GUI in mind, and using the most light weight methods for executing tasks, MobileChat is the premier AIM Application for the iPhone. In fact, it’s so light-weight and efficient that it runs just about as well on the EDGE network as it does on any WiFi network!

Zombiepox2x v1.1.3 (GP2x Game Port)

Zombiepox2x is an allegro game where you have to save your friends from zombies.

Changes:

– Music is now working.
– I have added a loading screen (it is not in a file, it is in the
code so there’s no delay to load the data).
– As I told you before, fonts are working right now.
– I have added an icon
– I have removed the menu entry ‘fullscreen’, there is no sense in
having this in the GP2X.
– I have increased the version number.
– I have added the code to avoid the black screen bug

NES.app v1.4.2 (NES emu for iPhone)

NES.app is a Nintendo emulator for Apple’s iPhone. NES.app uses a modified version of the popular InfoNES emulation core to mimic the 6502 processor in a Nintendo Entertainment System, allowing you to play ROM dumps of games designed for the NES console. ROM dumps are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM dump of any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.

NES.app started as a fork of iPhoneNES v0.01, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features including full sound, game genie codes, saved games, battery-saved ram support, and full screen support.

Changes since v1.4.1:

[nervegas] Added Jordan’s Sprite Y code to nonproduction work copy
[nervegas] Backed up “stable” production code to NESCoreProduction.c
[nervegas] Force four-screen mirroring when detected (Rad Racer 2)
[nervegas] Scanline fix by incrementing before rendering – This might be a hack, but appears to have something to do with the junk scanline before rendering; winds up fixing Rad Racer, Rad Racer 2, and Asterix’ palette.
[nervegas] Tweaked right directional pad hot sot in landscape/full

Dicewars DS v0.4.0 soon (NDS misc)

Dicewars DS is a multiplayer version of a popular Flash based strategy game Dicewars for Nintendo DS handheld console. Your task is to conquer the whole game field by rolling dice. Each turn you may attack any opponent’s territory from one of your adjacent territories as long as your territory has more than one die on it. When attacking, If you roll more than the defender, you win.

At the end of each turn, the greatest number of adjoining territories you have is calculated, and you are awarded a bonus of that number of dice, which are placed randomly on your territory.

Author notes:

I’m currently preparing the version 0.4.0, trying to make sure all the known bugs are fixed for it. Expected release date approximately one week ahead.

24/09/07 update – I’m currently mostly waiting. For updated sound effects, new website layout, getting the server application debugged thoroughly. Meanwhile, I’ve been playing around with ad-hoc networks and trying to get two DS’s to communicate with each other without internet / wireless access point. Hopefully in the future Dicewars DS can be also played locally with 2-8 DS’s.
