PDRC #3.666 results (misc)

EvilDragon and myself have finalized the judging, the results are:

#1 Matrix Runner – Gameboy Advance
#2 Dastardly Dungeon – GP2x/Fenix
#3 Elevator Madness (Pre) – Super Nintendo Entertainment System
#4 Subhunt – GP2x
#5 Monsterattack – GP2x
#6 Dungeon and Dragon – GP2x/Java
#7 Skeet Shoot – Gameboy Advance
#8 BugHunt2x – GP2x
#8 LCD Race – GP2x
#9 Watch Rally – GP2x
#10 The AcchiappaStelle – GP2x
#– Kick and Play – GP2x
#– Musical Chests – Gameboy Advance

We had a total of 13 entries, while two had to be disqualified. Rank #8 is shared between two entries as they had the same score.

Unforunatley we had to disqualify two entries.

  • Musical Chests did not comply with the rules as it had no proper G&W movement behavior.
  • Kick and Play was a great game, but didn’t match the rules exactly. Goal was to write a Q&W or Q&Q style game, instead a real LCD type game has been submitted, not dealing with the limitations of the mentioned two above. It was a hard step to do this, but our intentions were to give everyone the same fair chances.

Thanks to all contributors. The winners will be contacted soon. The files are available for download.

  • gpSP2X v9008 (GBA emu for GP2x)

gpSP2X is an official GP2X port of gpSP, a GBA emulator written from scratch by Exophase. But it’s more than just a port, as zodttd has tweaked it specifically for the GP2X with features such as overclocking the CPU, RAM, and LCD tweaks.

    New in v9008:
    – Updated the way autoframeskip works. Should be better now. Still has a max frameskip value.
    – Added a slight performance increase to the dynarec.
    – Added sync() to make sure files such as savestates and in-game saves are saved properly to the GP2X.

    RiverCrossingDS v0.25 (NDS Game)

RiverCrossingDS is a puzzle game for the Nintendo DS by MangledLftThumb. The title is very fitting and already tells you what the game is about.

The screenshot shown above is from version 0.1 but should give a proper impression.

    [Feb 16, 2007]
Including latest version w/ a few more puzzles, some flash screen animation + hiker/log checking logic.
    Removed older versions ….

    Ball Buster! (16-03-2007) (NDS Game)

Basically the point of the game is to clear the board of similar colored balls and get the best score you can. The more similar colored balls you clump together, the higher the score.

    Hello all,

This is my first submission to the Nintendo DS homebrew scene. Hopefully the first of many… It has some striking similarities to a game on PocketPC’s … I won’t name any names ๐Ÿ˜‰

The usual blah blah blah stuff applies — I hold no responsibility if it blows up your DS (it shouldn’t).

Big thanks to the guys that created PALib.. I would not have been able to crank this out as quickly as I did without their stellar library and docs.

Also a big thanks to Grymmjack for providing a music track and digging out all of his old Mod tracking tools!

    Known Bugs:
The sounds get a little screwy with the music on. Not sure if this is PALib or me.

    Controls:
Use the stylus for highlighting the balls.
Use the Left Trigger to reset your game board.
Use the Right Trigger to toggle the music on and off.

Ball Buster was created using devkitpro and PALIB.
