Tephra Toil by broquaint is an action game made with PICO-8.

In this game you play as a vulcanologist of the future. You have an advanced system for scanning tephra as it is thrown from the volcano. In order to complete your research you must scan all the types of tephra and escape the volcano with your precious research. Get close to the rising tephra in order to scan it. The more you scan, the closer you get to completing your research and furthering humanity’s understanding of hot flying rock.​

Rocket by Toolkitman is an a game made for PICO-8.

This is a flappy bird rocket game. Don’t crash the rocket or else BOOM! To play, press ‘x’ to start and ‘up arrow’ on the keyboard to jump.​

Star Farmer Simulator by cloverphobic is a short adventure game made for Nintendo Game Boy.

This game is based off of a video made with puppets. The author mentioned that, “This was his first project and was actually for a textile class he was taking in 2022”, so he has no experience whatsoever with game design background, coding etc.

Minestorm by A-TOM is an action shooter game made with PICO-8.

In this game, the enemy minelayer will move through your galaxy and will seed the first mine field. Your ship will come into view once he disappears. Four large mines will suddenly become activated. Maneuver your ship within the galaxy in an effort to destroy the mines. As you travel through space, fire at the mines. Once you make that part of the galaxy safe, you immediately travel to the next mine field. There are 30 different mine fields, each one becoming increasingly difficult. If you are hit by a mine you will lose one ship. The mission continues depending on your pilot skill:

Rookie:

A new ship will mysteriously be placed back onto the field you are currently in and you can continue to clear out that field if you have any ships remaining. Beware: A collision with the minelayer will result in the reseeding of that field.

Veteran:

The minelayer will reseed the field you are currently in and you will have another chance to clear out that field if you have any ships remaining.

Field Types:

Each of the 30 mine fields gets more difficult, but each starts with 4 large mines. Once a large mine is destroyed, 2 medium-sized mines are activated. When a medium-sized mine is destroyed, 2 small mines are activated. The first field has 4 floating mines. Each new field starts with harder combinations of mines.

Number of Ships:

In each game you start with 5 ships. A bonus ship is awarded if you clear out 3 fields.​

Crazy Jumper by deidara is a jump’n run game made for Nesbox TIC-80.

Your goal in this game is to jump over the tracks and blocks. Avoid falling down or else you’ll lose your life. Use the ‘arrow’ keys to move and ‘z’ to jump.​

Root Need Control by SkagoGames is a survival game made with PICO-8.

The goal of the game is to survive long by avoiding and destroying the attacking rockets and nasty rain while adjusting the length of the player’s roots so they don’t grow. If you leave the player’s long roots unattended or collide with the roots and rockets, you will take damage or it’s game over. Use the ‘X’ key to shrink roots or destroy rockets. Use the ‘Z’ key + left and right arrow keys to move the player character.

Stepping on the Ground by Diego is a game made for the Nintendo Game Boy.

Your goal in this game is to step on all the pieces of the ground. You need to avoid the enemies. Once you step on all of the pieces, a key will pop up on the screen. You will collect the key and enter through the door for the next level. There’s a time limit for every stage so better watch out..
