Each run shuffles platform layouts and token positions, with a minimum of 6 gold coins to collect before the flames catch you. The catch: one coin disappears per level, up to 15. Makes each new game feel like a fresh trap.
A new action-adventure game for the Atari 2600 has been announced. It is called ‘Quest For Tikal’.
The game uses a 128KB ROM without any extra hardware like ARM chips. It was made by the same person who created Championship Rally for the Atari Lynx over 25 years ago. A limited launch edition of about 100 copies will be sold on eBay, with a release date to be announced.

Scope for the game is incredibly small, the goal is to reach level 10 and find the final stairs to freedom. Balance does need some tweaking, it get progressively harder the lower you go, but I won’t be able to do it within the Jam time limit. I’ll provide a tuned version as a separate file later.
