Tangled Bugs (18-12-2007) (PPC Game)

TangledBugs is a remake of the good old Untangle game !

Nothing special in this version, just the arcade mode for now : start by untangling 6 bugs, then 10, 15, 20, etc… Until you give up !

This is still a WIP version, an update should come soon with highscores and level selection screen.

For those who find the lower levels a bit too easy, press Ok/Enter (depending on your PDA) to skip a level…

Code by Mollusk, graphics by DayDream.

Shift (18-12-2007) (PPC Game)

Shift is a bit hard to take in hands on the first go, but once you pick it up you just can’t stop playing…

The rules are really basic : click on the left, right, upper, or lower part of the screen (or press the direction pad) to have all the blocks who can move in that direction… If you form groups of 3 or more blocks, they’ll disappear, etc…

To get huge scores, trying doing combos, not leaving a single round before exploding another group, etc… Easier said than done !

Gianas Return WIP (GP2x misc)

The guys at the Giana’s Return webpage posted those sad news:

Things are not going well in life, we all know this situation…

Today there was another major drawback in the development history of Giana’s Return. The new graphic artist, who was supposed to do the tile-adjustments to match the themes in each world has been kicked by the project organizer.

Obviously the graphic artist took more work than he can handle, which slowed down everything. Also the fact a professional not taking backups of his harddisk, having a crash and then asking for a partitial resent of important files doesn’t make the best impression.

Considering we don’t want to have too many different graphics guys working on them, due to keeping a constant style, we are basically at zero again.

Life sucks…

For those who don’t know: Giana’s Return is a 2D side scrolling jump and run game and can be considered a sequel to “The great Giana Sisters”.

Frog Feast (16-12-2007) (Coleco Vision Game)

Mark2008 is still busy with porting Frog Feast, a Frogger like game, over to the Coleco Vision.

Changes:

1. fix the high frog jump
2. put the score on the scoreboard (currrently its on the bottom of the screen).
3. optimize certain things that bog the animations down (original author has very clean looking code, but many of the loops are not necessary and just slowing things down).
4. put the sound back in.
5. splash animation
6. music on title screen
7. when going back to the title screen the 2nd time, keep scores on the score boards.

Nethack DS v1.10 (NDS Game Port)

The goal of this project is to create a port of NetHack for the DS utilizing the unique features of the DS to create an easy-to-use NetHacking experience.

Changes:

Enhanced the minimap to show additional landmarks, etc.
Added word wrapping support to menus, text display, etc.
Added support for a scrolling command window if the commands don’t fit on one page.
With the above, the game now supports larger font sizes.
Added a few additional commands to the command window.
Fixed the message display when paging so previous lines aren’t redisplayed erroneously.
Again tried to fix the menu pagedown bug… I think I might have it this time.

MNPlight v2.17 (Pre) (iPhone Application)

MNPlight aims at getting rid of the need for a computer with iTunes. It runs on your iPhone, and is able to modify the iPhone calendar, address book and iPod databases.

MNPlight can be of particular interest for Linux users who don’t have iTunes, but it can also be used by other users when they want to update their iPhone data when they are away from their iTunes computer.

If you keep using iTunes, you may experiment problems with the Calendar and the Address Book since modifications done on your iPhone won’t be seen by iTunes.
