PSP Development Kit ready to use for Windows Users (PSP misc)

For windows users who want to develop on their windows PC, little homebrew for the PSP, without spending hours or days trying to install cygwin and compile the toolchain, this package is for you !!

You have first to install VirtualBox that is freely available : http://www.virtualbox.org/

You should then download all rar files present here :
http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/public/psp/virtualbox/

You have to unrar the rar archive in disk1.vdi (you need at least 4Gb of free space on your hard disk)

Then create a new virtual host, Linux 2.6 with 256 Mb of memory, and use the disk1.vdi as a disk image !

This disk image contains a full install of xubuntu 7.4, where the PSP SDK has been already compiled, and several other software added (such as the famous IDE Kdevelop, gcc, SDL etc …).

After virtually booting Xubuntu, the login name is psp, and the password is psp.

ZX-81 has written a small PSP project (hello world) for Kdevelop, ready to use.

The source code of PSPWrite is also given as an example, with a linux version and a PSP version (but with makefile only, without project file for Kdevelop).

PuzzleManiak v3.0 (Beta 2) (NDS Game)

PuzzleManiak is a port of the marvelous Simon Tatham’s Portable Puzzle Collection on Nintendo DS. All 27 games are ported on NDS: Tents, Dominosa, Mines, Bridges, Light Up (aka Akari), Pattern (aka Picross), Net (aka Netwalk), Untangle (aka Planarity), Sudoku (aka Solo), Galaxies, Slitherlink (aka Loopy), Blackbox, Mastermind (aka Guess), Map, Filling, Solitaire (aka Pegs), Sixteen, Fifteen, Slant, Rectangles, Netslide, Samegame, Unequal, Flip, Inertia, Twiddle and Pyramid (adaptation of Cube).

Release notes:

Hi PuzzleManiak fans!

After a couple of testing days, and thanks gh0st who find some bugs, I’ve fixed several bugs mainly in mp3 folder browsing.

I’ve also added 2 new cool features:
– Pressing Select will change screen’s brightness
– When the Nintendo DS is closed and an mp3 is playing, pressing buttons ‘L’ / ‘R’ will go to the previous/next song in your mp3 playlist.

Now PuzzleManiak is a real cool … mp3 player 😉

Concerning the German translation, I would like to thank the guys who want ot finish the job, but finally Christian woke up and did the job. So the game is now available in German too.

Reaxion (Final) (GBA Game)

Reaxion GBA does exactly what it says on the tin, it’s a conversion of the C64 game to the GBA. It’s a typical puzzler similar to “Lights Out” with 99 levels, design and graphics by T.M.R, music by Bexta and code by Widdy.

This is the very final version. It has very minor changes compared to the Buenzli 2007 partyversion, but final is final.

Thanks to Widdy himself for the file. I just had to bug him with a phonecall for this… 😉 Widdy’s page is located at http://www.widdy.de and not updated by this moment.

A real cartridge version can be obtained for cheap 7 UK pounds (includes shopping within UK) via http://www.rgcd.co.uk/shop/
