NES.app v0.99.07 (NES emu for iPhone)

NES.app is a Nintendo emulator for Apple’s iPhone. NES.app uses a modified version of the popular InfoNES emulation core to mimic the 6502 processor in a Nintendo Entertainment System, allowing you to play ROM dumps of games designed for the NES console. ROM dumps are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM dump of any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.

NES.app started as a fork of iPhoneNES v0.01, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features including full sound, game genie codes, saved games, battery-saved ram support, and full screen support.

Changes since v0.99.06:

[nervegas] Added alert with instructions when no ROMs are detected
[nervegas] Added alert for invalid game genie codes; don’t save
[nervegas] Fixed alert sheet presentation / removed gap from bottom
[nervegas] Added sound manager for sound without killing mediaserverd

Audio Mechanica v6d (PSP Application)

Audio Mechanica is a digital audio recorder / effects processor for PSP.

Release notes:

Hi Guys,
The V6d update is a change to lower the clock speed, simply because it’s possible, and we can save battery life. At the time I was writing this app. I had not yet experimented with adjusting PSP system clock speeds. Audio Mechanica now runs at 133/133/1 unless you do something with another app to override that.

– The Digital Delay Processor can delay an audio channel by a user defined value. This could save on a stand alone piece of equipment that does the same job.
– The Yakback Emulator uses voice activation routines to record continuous chunks of sound, and auto playback each continuous sound chunk. This works rather like a parrot, repeating everything you say after each pause (repeating everything you say after each pause). The Yakback Emulator is the beginnings of the way I’d go about a speech regognition, or lie detection program.
– The Virtual Tape Recorder mode works as the previous digital recorder.
– The Voice Activation mode works as the Virtual Tape Recorder, with the addition of an adjustable sound activation level that can make the recorder work like a dictophone, only recording segments of continuous sound.

Package and eXtension Library (28-08-2007) (iPhone misc)

PXL (pronounced ‘pixel’) is a package management tool for iPhone. It is still in the early stages, however. The primary component is a service called PXLdaemon, which runs on your iPhone; various client services (Breezy, iBrickr, Shimmer and so on) then speak to PXLdaemon in order to install or uninstall packages.

The goal is not only to have a reasonably extensible and sane format, but also keep the entire thing open source so that it can be a community effort to maintain and expand it.

DLDI Patcher port on DS (NDS misc)

This is a simple port of the DLDItool Cli (by Chishm). This is useful for people that do not have devices with auto patching firmwares, so you could patch dldi apps/games downloaded from the internet or without a computer. npc3232 has tested it on the Supercard DS One and Max Media Dock without problems, so it should be compatible.

Instructions:
1. Patch this dldi patcher with a dldi patcher and copy it to the card. It could probably patch itself if there were two copies.
2. Copy the patch to the root of the flash card, and rename it “patch.dldi”.
