News from PkK:
I have done some improvements to a WIP called “Colored gravity”.
There are two spaceships, each steered by a ColecoVision controller. At the top of the screen there are two numbers.
The upper one is energy left. Energy is lost when firing, changing color or being hit by a missile. Energy recharges while the spaceship isn’t accelerating or decelerating. The other number is the reload. You can’t fire or change color while it’s nonzero.
There are three colors. Objects of different color attract each other.Left fire button: Fire missile of your current color.
Right fire button: Try to change color.
Joystick: Accelerate / Decelerate, turn spaceship.Spaceships and missiles bounce when hitting the border of the playing area.
The game becomes a bit slow when there are many objects on screen.
Philipp
P.S.: This is far from a complete game, but spaceships and missiles bouncing around are fun.

JJIL is a Java image processing library. It includes an image processing architecture and over 60 routines for various image processing tasks.
JJIL is particularly targeted towards mobile applications. It includes interfaces so images can be converted to and from native formats for J2ME, Android, and J2SE.
JJIL includes some sample applications for face detection and EAN-13 (including UPC) barcode reading. The barcode reader requires high resolution images (currently beyond a typical cameraphone, but perhaps not Android) but the face detection code works well with any cameraphone. It can isolate any reasonable frontal view of a face in a few seconds.
Release notes:
Update, 7-18-08: I build and uploaded a new ReadBarJ JAR file. This fixes a bug that was making the reader fail when the barcode image width was an exact multiple of the number of elementary bars. Probably didn’t affect the J2ME reader much, but still… Code fix was due to hansomli and has been checked into source tree.

This application allows you to read large Text (.txt,.text), eReader/Peanut Press (.pdb), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Palm Doc (.pdb), Mobipocket (.pdb,.prc,.mobi), Plucker (.pdb), HTML (.htm,.html), CHM (.chm), and Fiction Book (.fb2) files quickly and efficiently on the iPhone/Touch. This application doesn’t have the fancy formatting of ruBooks or Books.app, but it supports many formats and can quickly load and display large text files that currently cause problems with some UI Text View/Web View based apps. It also gives you some options to reformat/reflow text so that it might be more readable on the iPhone’s smaller screen. If you want to load books quickly and read text, this may be the app for you.

NES.app emulates the hardware in a Nintendo entertainment system, allowing you to play games on your iPhone. There are many public domain, home-brew games available which have been written for the Nintendo platform, and depending on your country of origin, you may be entitled to play images of commercial games which you rightfully own.
