This application automates the risk assessment model known as the green/amber/red (GAR) model. This model is used by the US Coast Guard to perform a risk assessment before and during patrols. This application uses the modified model that was developed by the US Coast Guard in Seattle. In addition, for some of the weather parameters, it accesses the NOAA forecast data for either the specified area, or the area determined by the iPhone. Once completed, the GAR report can be emailed, providing a record of it.
