Welcome to the ZGBJAM #2 coding competition. From the 26th to 28th of July, we will get together to make new awesome Game Boy games using ZGB!

What is ZGB? It’s a free open source little engine (plus a set of utilities) which allows you to create any kind of game for the Nintendo Game Boy® and Game Boy Color® in C language. It uses GBDK with an updated version of SDCC (3.6.0) Since its creation in 2016 several games have been developed even by people without a programming profile!

In Search of the Frisbee Tribe is a very short concept game by Panda Head Interactive. It’s about a spaceman crash landing on planet Frisb and trying to find his way home.

Tobu Tobu Girl Deluxe is an arcade-inspired platformer in which a girl has to jump and dash through the atmosphere in order to save her cat following an unfortunate helium balloon accident. The game is a mix of retro and modern game design, with procedurally generated levels and fast-paced time attack-oriented gameplay. It also includes an original soundtrack composed by seasoned chiptune composer potato-tan.

Evoland.gb is a fan-made port of the Evoland game on the Nintendo GameBoy. This project by Fabien LOISON is a work-in-progress state, but enhanced enough to be shown to the public.

For those who do not know Evoland, It is the first game of Shiro Games Studio. It takes the form of an action RPG that relates the history of the video game through its technological evolution’s and its game play.
