SD-4k (NDS Intro)

Crash decided that it was time to try some 4k coding on Nintendo DS. It seems to be more tricky to do 4ks on the DS as there are no external libs to harvest from. Thus there’s also no sound. Note the .nfo saying that playback will only work correctly on real hardware. [Text by Paralax/Speckdrumm].

As a beeing a proud Speckdrumm member myself, please spread the word about the (probably) worlds first 4k Intro for NDS 😉

Warhawk WIP (20-04-2009) (NDS Game)

Flash and HeadKaze are currently working on a remake/revisioning of the C64 game “Warhawk”.

Progress notes:

Sorry it is all a bit quiet at the moment…

Currently working the way through the levels attack waves and adding game code to try and keep it fresh as the levels progress..

We have a bug that is proving a little elusive, but he will be caught.

Lobo has done some great graphics to use with the “game complete” screens and this is looking very nice (thanks HK).

god knows when it will be released… I have to use the ID Software? idium, “when it is done” 🙂

There is no updated binary yet!

Scrolling Color Demo (14-04-2009) (MHS Techdemo)

Wickeycolumbus and ppcasm figured out how to homebrew on a Mattel HyperScan ( more info see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperscan ).

Release notes:

Many people on this forum hate the mattel HyperScan, and thought homebrew would not be possible on it. For the past few months, a guy named ‘ppcasm’ and I have been figuring out how the thing works, and released a few demos here an there. I am not sure if anyone here is interested, but here is a scrolling color demo I just made for it. Written 100% in SPG290 Assembly language. In order to run it, you must have a real HyperScan (no emulator exists yet), and a CD-R. All you have to do is burn the HYPER.EXE file to the CD-R and put in into an un-modded HyperScan, wait about a minute, and the screen pops up with fabulous colors 🙂
