3) Install a full 1.50 to the memstick, including the Pandora

Visualboy Advance v1.7.2 (GBA emu for GC)

Visual Boy Advance is a GameBoy Mono, Color and GameBoy Advance emulator for the Nintendo Wii/GameCube. This “demo” version was originally included in SoftDev’s implementation of a the TinyFAT filesystem for SD card read/write functions on the Nintendo GameCube. The demo also shows how to implement virtual memory in your applications, which in this instance is used to store the ROM data in.

The demo only came in sourcecode format. Well, TehSkeen is proud to present it in it’s fully compiled and operational form. Please read the documentation included in the archive for detailed directions on how to use this emulator. Please note it does require the use of a GC -> SD card adapter.

Thanks to brakken / http://www.tehskeen.net for the news.

iPhone Firmware v1.1.1 (iPhone Firmware)

Apple has released a firmware update for iPhone’s which is available via iTunes.

Please keep in mind updating your homebrew enabled v1.02 iPhone will kind of brick it, be sure to NOT update unless required – or follow different instructions to bring your iPhone back to factory-fresh settings. In case of updating, your iPhone wont be able to use homebrew apps anymore!

Mobile Nuker (Revision 28) (iPhone Application)

MobileNuker is a windows RPC Nuke Attack Client for iPhone. This application is only intended for use on your own network targeting your own specially set-up Windows PCs. It will only work against Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows NT 4 (pre SP6), Windows XP (pre SP1). Targeted at said operating systems this application will crash the network stack and thus cause a BSOD or activate the shutdown dialogue (XP).

You need to compile the binary on your own! The code is in the SVN.

iLang v0.2.1 (iPhone Application)

This is an native iPhone application that use the language packs that created by glen.tw and allow user to change the language setting on the iPhone itself.

The finaly PXL will hopefully included all the language packs and let people install it from the Installer.app, so no need to transfer the language separately.

Mupen64GC (Revision 40) (N64 emu for GC)

Mupen64GC is a port of Mupen64 for the Gamecube/Wii. Mupen64 is a popular multi-OS N64 emulator.

The emulator is planned to use dynamic recompilation of the N64 machine code to PowerPC (the Gamecube’s ISA) and full hardware accelerated graphics to (hopefully) achieve full-speed emulation.

For now just the source code is available. A binary seems to be available at http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=75428

Halo 2D DS (WIP 1) (NDS Techdemo)

Maxwell Goodman made a little WIP of Halo 2D DS. It just loads the first map and you can walk around, there’s no AI yet so there are no enemies, or weapons.

NES.app v1.5.0 (NES emu for iPhone)

NES.app lets you play Nintendo games on your iPhone. It is a fully functional, feature-rich Nintendo emulator.

NES.app uses an emulator core we call NESCore, which we’ve forked from pNESx and InfoNES and re-engineered as a highly-portable and high-performance Nintendo emulator core.

NES.app started as a fork of iPhoneNES v0.01, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features including sound, multitouch support, full-screen, landscape mode, game genie codes, saved games and much more. It now contains zero code from the original iPhoneNES project.

Changes:

[nervegas] Fixed navbar so buttons update when in landscape mode
[nervegas] Use fclose() instead of close() in LoadROM
[nervegas] Added “Sensory Pad” preference option, good for RPGs I guess
[nervegas] Cleaned up controller selection code and filenames
[nervegas] Enlarged “A & B” hot spot in portrait mode
[nervegas] Tweaked color palette for optimal display on iPhone
[nervegas] Stabilized frame skip, less jerkiness, fewer changes
[nervegas] Added color palette preferences option (old palette = C)
[jordan] Optimized scanline rendering routine

Taskbar Notifier v0.6 (iPhone Application)

This iPhone application adds a small envelope icon in the taskbar when you have an unread email message and a small speech bubble when you have an unread SMS message. It is useful for reminding you from anywhere within the iPhone user interface that you have an unread message, even if you have previously pressed the “Ignore” button. This includes the lock screen.

Yes! You can finally check your email from the lock screen (assuming you have your email set to auto check)

After the initial blue popup when an SMS message is received, the only place in the UI in which you are reminded of the unread message is the home screen, which as we all know is not where you spend the majority of your time!

This application is possibly even more useful for email because you’re never actually notified of these anywhere other than the home screen.
